The Congress people who keep getting re-elected start to believe they actually are entitled to bump the hoi-polloi from first class. From what I’ve read, Shirley Jackson Lee is on one or more committees with regulatory abilities over airlines, and she’s not afraid to exercise her power. Pure Washington corruption.

She’s in United’s frequent flyer program. We pay for a business class or coach ticket for her, she earns miles flying back and forth and uses them for upgrades, and we’re paying for all of it. That has nothing to do with the “bumping” of other passengers though, United probably has $hit on their corporate lips from kissing SJL’s ample rear end.

Sheila Jackson Lee is an anti-Catholic bigot. She actually filed a petition with the FCC to stop a Catholic group from buying an AM radio station in the Houston market. Fortunately, she was unsuccessful.
