Tuesday on MSNBC, Rep. Francis Rooney (R-FL) described the FBI and the Department of Justice as “off the rails” and suggested the possibility of a “purge” at the FBI and the Department of Justice.
Partial transcript as follows:
JACKSON: Before I let you go, I need to ask you about the president and his tweets. He’s been fairly quiet Christmas day, but the president is tweeting about the FBI. He’s been tweeting about his Deputy Director Andrew McCabe, why is that the right message right now for Donald Trump and Republicans?
ROONEY: Well, there’s two issues here. Yes, the president does have his own unique communication style, which I don’t think any of us have seen the use of Twitter deployed so broadly as a president does. But on the investigation, that investigation is totally off the rails. And I am really concerned —
JACKSON: But he’s not tweeting about the investigation. He is tweeting about the deputy director. He’s tweeting about FBI agents. Congressman, do you think that is appropriate for the president?

Re “An enigma wrapped in a conundrum”.
If you are referring to the whole FBI/CIA/Dossiergate/Clinton Foundation scandal and crapped up investigations, then I want to rewrite you statement re above.
It is a disgrace wrapped up in a used condom, because the Democrats and their lapdogs in the FBI,DOJ, and CIA have been screwing around with the truth and screwing the American people for too many years under the aegis of Obama the Red’s directions and those of the Democrat Party.
This scandal is more massive than I could have imaged and In know something about coverups by Congress and the media, having worked/testified for Congress as well as covering political affairs for almost 50 years.
I’ve never seen a more corrupt government than that of Obama, but who, as a good Marxist, did exactly what he said he was going to do, “fundamentally transfer society” with the help of his Democrat/Liberal/Progressive toadies and traitors.
Thank God “Joe the Plumber” asked Obama what he planned to do, or we would never have his words spoken so honestly as he did at that time.
The corruption, rot, and treason (yes there are elements of treason running throughout all these investigations, and some things that are not being investigated, i.e. Obama’s security risk staff/advisors), are a clear and present danger to our republic.
Hopefully our congressional committees will finally go for the jugular and rip it and the Democrats apart.
We need pitbulls, not miniature poodles, in this game.

The Clintons fired everyone at the DOJ as one of their first official acts. Career law enforcement people were left at the curb. Suddenly, turnabout is not fair play?

How dense does one have to be to think McCabe and company have nothing to do with the "investigation"?????? Once they have their talking points handed out - they will crash and burn with them to stay "on message'....

They should ask the FBI about parallel construction

Republicans aren't called the "stupid party" for no reason.
Loretta Lynch and James Comey, Robert Mueller, Peter Strzok, Lisa Page, Lois Lerner, the Ohr Family - they did not do these things alone, or on their own initiative.
They were foot soldiers in an attempt to overthrow the government - an attempt, incidentally, which has not yet failed.
The state will not be secure until the forces who deployed these foot soldiers are captured or killed.
The purge should have happened in the first week of the new administration.
Every Obama hire should have been handed walking papers. But, they given enough rope to hang themselves over this past year, and they did, showing their true colors.
So this ultimately is a good thing.
They should withhold funding for 30 days.
Lock em all up! Give em mil tribs! Take appropriate actions!
Trump is not like any other administration. I believe Trump would rather give people a chance and fire those who demonstrate they're a risk or can't or will not do the job. Trump is the outsider, he had to find out on his own.
You're correct, in retrospect, this is a good thing because he's clearly demonstrated just how deep and widespread government corruption is.
For example, who would have ever believed big media, the Democrats and the FBI conspired to frame the President of the United States and were attempting to throw the election in favor of the Democrats!
This is epic and historic. And now we know.

It seems to me unprecedented. Obama planted moles and stay-behinds all over every Alphabet agency, department, etc.
And appears to have tasked them with wrecking Trump’s every move so that the Dems could portray him as a failure and regain the White House in 2020.
They want their little Bolshevik 2.0 reboot to succeed, after he took it as far as he did.
Personally, I hope Trump sees fit to prosecute as many of these seditious piles of crap as possible.
