A Christmas toy giveaway in Detroit, Michigan, devolved into a massive brawl Saturday night, leading to the arrest of one woman, police said.
WXYZ reports that the brawl took place at the Tower Center Mall on Detroit’s west side Saturday around 7 p.m. after a crowd gathered to attend a toy giveaway for inner-city children.
Several hundred people gathered inside the building before the fights broke out. Police said they deployed strike force units to tame the crowd once it got unruly.
The event’s organizer, John Cromer, said he did not intend for his event to become violent.
“People are already under a lot of stress,” said Cromer. “I want to tell you that has nothing to do with toys making impacts.”

well of course there was no intent for this to become violent. But if people who are prone to violence attend the event, unfortunately, that was the result.

Nothing celebrates the birth of Christ like a free-for-all at the free toy giveaway attended by a horde of unwashed, unemployable grifters, parasites, and thieves. Truly captures the spirit of the season.
What did they expect? Idiots! I live in Metro Detroit and “free” anything always results in problems if it’s in or near the city limits.

The giveaway was explicitly for people who have already received the benefit of our generosity, and who blame us for their problems. They have been trained to take things from their oppressors, who bow down submissively in contrition.
The “poor” are always classified as poor, even after adding up the value of all the benefits they receive. So, even if they get freebies worth $40,000, they are still classified as poor.
Similarly, the “rich” are always classified as rich, even after taking away more than half of their money in taxes and seizures not called taxes. Their gross income qualifies them as rich, even if their net is less than the “poor” peoples’ net.
