Well you live in NY, time for you to move, don’t you think
These estimates aren't definitive. The new rules are so complex that two taxpayers in the same neighborhood with the same household income could see very different tax bills. But numbers provide a broad look at where the burden of the tax changes will fall.
HEAR HEAR!!!!
Hey Matt Vespa, it may surprise you and maybe disappoint you, but every CPA is certified.
Maybe you watch too much TV on that American ABC network.
“Dont let SkyPilot see this...”
Millions of dollars worth of Agitprop propaganda really does work on a percentage of people.
Between fairly high property taxes, a lot of excess medical expenses just from the monthly premiums (the Under 65 medical policies aren't cheap), and cash charitable contributions, we won't.
But that's okay because we deserve it! /s
We only save $534. Husband is retired and we both work. Not old enough for Social security. I don’t itemizing would help.
“Think”
Or actual numbers and math.
I agree with this author from Red State:
The GOP Tax Bill: A Betrayal of Conservative Values
The bill is also non-conservative because conservatives are supposed to stand for the middle class. And this bill raises taxes on many in the middle class, to pay for tax breaks for the very wealthy. First, lets clear some leftist tropes out of the way. To be clear: I am not upset that the bill helps the wealthy. Any tax cut bill does. Its ridiculous to oppose a tax cut on the basis that it benefits the wealthy more than it benefits the poor. Of course it does! The wealthy pay most of the taxes in this country. The top 1% of taxpayers pay a higher effective income-tax rate than any other group (around 23%, according to a report released by the Tax Policy Center in 2014) nearly seven times higher than those in the bottom 50%. If youre against a tax cut for the wealthy, youre against tax cuts, period. Similarly, opposing a tax cut because 38% of Americans wont get a sizable tax cut ignores the fact that a good chunk of those people arent paying federal income tax to begin with. That said, I dont think it makes sense to increase taxes on any portion of the middle class while giving a tax break to the super-rich. And make no mistake: taxes are going up on a lot of people in the middle class.
Merry Christmas.
Well lets put it this way, if it were after the demonrats that someone would have to pay at least S1,300 more in taxes.
I am in that LONG blue line of folks around the 85K range getting a sizable CUT.
If you are in that 5% at the end, sucks to be you.
Now stop whining on the internet about it, and get your butt down to the high tax statehouse and DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT.
Oh please Scrooge. Listen to you, giving orders.
At first people around here tried to say it was a "lie" that many millions of middle class Americans were going to get a tax raise with this new law. Then, when they got called on the fact, the strategy became name calling, intimidation, and insults.
And then we get the "why don't you just MOVE!" garbage lines. Like sure, we'll just sell our houses, quit our jobs, and say goodbye to our family and friends because the GOPe just decided to destroy our lives.
Next, we get the call to stop states from taxing us. Sure. I have also raised the Titanic - it's so easy to do.
All I asked was that the Republican party didn't screw me also - but I guess that was just too much to ask.
****the GOPe just decided to destroy our lives****
If you are not positioned well enough that a relatively minor tax raise will destroy your lives, that is your fault. I suspect that with due diligence, you will find a way to benefit from the new situation if you apply yourself.
Just out of curiosity: when did tax increases from Washington become Conservative policy?
Merry Christmas.
****when did tax increases from Washington become Conservative policy?****
Well my only answer is to call for the same thing the left calls for Trump. Show me your tax statements.
****relatively minor? By whose standards?****
Relatively minor by the standards that if your life will be “destroyed” then you are a poor planner.
California: 89% of returns in the middle 20% get an average tax cut of $1,230
CBS picked random families from New York and California that were certain (because of what the #fakenews media has said) that their tax bills were going way up and they found out that, NO, instead their tax bills are dropping!
“Tax hikes on the poor”? No reason to read that nonsense!
