How to Combat Stress {oppo research on the Coastal worldview}
The New York Times ^ | December 22, 2017 | Jen Doll

Earlier this year, I suffered my first major panic attack. For days afterward, my heart would race and my mind would fill with doomsday visions as I worried about everything around me, including whether I’d have more panic attacks and if I’d ever be able to stop them.

Freepers may benefit (slightly) from a peak into the minds of coastal elites, and I offer this as an anthropology lab. Surprisingly, the article doesn't mention the greatest source of anxiety for this segment of the population -- the President of the United States (probably because it's in the category of things they can't do anything about).

Enjoy.

Peek. If you look surreptitiously at the top of a mountain you peek at the peak.

Dear John:

Your panic attacks are caused because President Trump is - PRESIDENT! Your attacks will continue for the next 7 years. There is nothing you can do, so don't panic.

This article includes the usual array of sensible advice to reduce stress and anxiety in one’s life. All of it has the potential to be useful to someone, regardless of the cause of the stress or anxiety.

Personally, I don’t give a thought to earthquakes, terrorism, or nuclear war, because I have two teenaged daughters.

“How to Combat Stress for Atheists” FIXED IT

No mention of God the Father, Son, or Holy Spirit. But TREES...
‘Dr. Simon recommended “going to nature and attending to the trees and beautiful weather, taking your attention away from the worries and appreciating and noticing something around you.” You might also try “volunteering in your community or donating to fund-raising” as a way to do something positive while accepting that some things can’t be controlled, she said.’

There’s a reason God created “stress”, without stress there can be no growth. When your system overloads it’s due to NOT adjusting false beliefs to a view closer to what’s true. Stress isn’t to be avoided, it’s to be examined and to bring about change. Embrace your stress,

Oddly, the main reason I feel stress is because my “to-do” list grows much faster than my “done” list. I’m constantly worried that I am forgetting to do something really important.

But Thank God for President Trump! He is something not to stress about.

Awww, the poor snowflakes, stressed out by modern life. I’ll bet the people who can afford the NYT are the most stressed. The upper West Side types with chauffeurs and doormen.

Not the normal people who work hard, pay unfair taxes, and are accused of being privileged racists.

I will come back again. My youngest daughter is 5.

Our three 'girls' are now 37, 39 & 43. They turned out very well, all in first marriages longer than 10-15 years and have given us 4 grandkids as a bonus!

I know that stress can lead to muscle stiffness and pain. I think that a massage is one of the most relaxing and enjoyable ways to get rid of a daily stress, it makes all the thoughts to disappear. I was convinced in that after a session of one of such massage in http://salondream.kiev.ua/ parlour. It cheered me up and I became less irritable.

I also think that lonely is very difficult to fight with a panic attack. At such a moment there should be someone nearby, preferably the one who loves you. Words can do little, but embraces can do a lot more. When I feel lousy, I try to spend time with my wife, I give her a massage, because when I touch her, I calm down and we both relax. Sometimes she gives me a massage, and sometimes when I go on business trips, I also visit massage salons, one of the last is the https://golden.salon/. The massage is a good thing and when someone you like do it for you this is very restful.
