A new poll from Berkeley’s Institute of Government Studies suggests that no Republicans will make it onto the ballot for the key races in the 2018 general election in the deep blue state of California.

According to the poll, Lt. Gov. Gavin Newsom and former Los Angeles Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa, both Democrats, are the two most likely candidates to make it past the June top-two or “jungle” primary, which allows the top-two vote-getters to proceed regardless of political party.

Newsom also leads Villaraigosa slightly among African-American and Asian voters. Both men are tied at 25 percent among millennial voters.

Meanwhile, in the Senate race, incumbent Democrat Dianne Feinstein (D-CA) leads State Senate President Pro Tem Kevin de León (D-Los Angeles). Feinstein has 41 percent support among likely voters, while de Leoón has just 27 percent.

CA has perfected the one party state.
Only one party appears on general election ballots.

Playing with a stacked deck...but that shouldn’t be a surprise when you’re talking about California Rats.

This is all the result of the illegal immigration takeover. We are committing national suicide with this anchor baby insanity.

Yep and it’s EXACTLY what the left and some republicans want for every single state.
Why???

California is a fascist, feudal state where only Communists need apply to run for office.

Only one party appears on general election ballots.

Didn't East Germany always boast of 98% voter turnout for their "elections",the ones that featured one candidate for each office?

There should not be US government funds going to California and their local taxes that the stupid voted for should not be deductible for Federal Taxes either.

Kalifornia is like a Mexican-liberal state. Mexicans are In Charge. It is kind of lost, though life goes on as usual. Wonder how we get it back.

“It is what it is”.

Anything else is denying reality. CA is done. The demographics here have sealed the fate of the state for at least a generation, perhaps forever. It will have to get incredibly bad here for this to change, so there’s really no point in wailing about it.

They should be demoted to a US territory and assigned one or more military governors until they can prove they can govern themselves, IMO. Course I also think that would need to be coordinated with mass roundups and snatch-and grab operations to make it work.

In other words, California is getting a bit like Catalan, and they may need to be slapped down hard. We’ll see.

Sad. I live in the Peoples Republic of California. We have a Governor who is a full blown socialist nutcase. The legislature is certifiably corrupt and the entire State is one big “Sanctuary” blackhole. The place is hopeless and I only live here because my Son, his wife and my granddaughter live here. It gets worse every year. Republicans are an endangered species and soon to be extinct.

Imagine being the only conservative in a nursing home in Berkeley, hoping that your child will come and visit you once in a while.

CA has perfected the one party state.

The People's Republic of Kalifornia is no longer representative democracy. Any Californian who is neither a Democrat nor a Leftist should leave that State immediately. Let California commit political and social suicide.

How can limiting political parties from the ballot be Constitutional? Time for the DOJ to take the state to court for suppressing civil rights.

I suppose a Republican can run as a Democrat. Either that or talk like a liberal and then change. Good luck with that one.
