The Senate early Wednesday morning approved the final version of the first overhaul of the U.S tax code in more than 30 years, handing President Trump and congressional Republicans their most significant legislative victory of 2017. The bill passed along party lines, 51-48 with the final result announced by Vice President Mike Pence who presided over the vote. Senator Jeff Flake, the last undeclared Republican, voted for the bill. The House passed the bill earlier Tuesday, but technical changes were made to it in the Senate, and the bill will go back to the House Wednesday for a re-vote, where it is expected to pass again. The President is expected to sign the bill this afternoon in a White House ceremony.

Let me guess they slipped in a tax increase before the revote in the house.
T the great. This is winning.
Wonder how the stock futures are doing?
I heard a Congresslady say our paychecks should be larger starting in January, so hopefully so, and well done.
Done. Stock market will be very positive for the next six months minimum, and 2018 appears to be a very good year for jobs (I would expect at least a million new jobs to be added over the next twelve months). Even for GDP predictions....some folks are suggesting 5-percent (something that hasn’t happened since around the 1999 era).
They just had to include a homo couple, didn’t they? Yuck.
The commies chanted “kill the bill”. Can you imagine being against tax cuts? The world is upside down. Of course the majority of the demonstrators don’t want a job and just want hand outs. Next year The Donald needs to reform all welfare handout programs and gear them on a work first policy and a drug free test that must be passed monthly prior to one penny in benefits.
If Arthur Laffer is right, this is what happens. Regulations and taxes are cut. The economy grows 4-6% per year. Despite lower tax rates, Federal revenue increases. Spending is held in check by the Republicans, the deficit shrinks. Trump is easily reelected and Arthur Laffer gets the Nobel prize. Milton Friedman is fondly remembered. Will it happen?
Happy for others, but I don’t think it will help us much. Somehow we always seem to do the equivalent of buying high and selling low. Oh well....
Bump
May I add that no illegals will receive any benefits including emergency medical and public education. They must be forced to self deport.
Now get to work on real tax reform.
Two homosexual “couples.”
And an inter-racial couple.
Talk up the Economy for a year. If it’s as good as 2017 then the Repukes should win easily as long as they have decent candidates
CNN calling it an “overhaul.”
MSM is avoiding calling it a “tax cut” because they know most Americans favor cutting taxes and government.
“The President is expected to sign the bill this afternoon in a White House ceremony.”
He should sign it on Christmas Eve ! His gift to the people.
I’m surprised they didn’t name them Adam & Steve.
Kill the Bill? A bit late for that. LOL
