Unwelcome exposure: Website's 'wins' are nude selfies of NH girls
New Hampshire Sunday News ^ | December 16, 2017 | Shawne K. Wickham

Posted on 12/18/2017 5:56:25 PM PST by Jim Noble

The message came from a high school friend: "Have you seen this? This is seriously messed up."

When Tyler Crews clicked on the link, what she found was "sickening," she said: nude and semi-nude photos of girls she had grown up with in Bedford - the kind of photos teen girls send to their boyfriends, never imagining they could end up posted online someday.

But there's a shadowy website where users, apparently mostly men, post and request sexual images of young women - they call them "wins." They trade images of former classmates the way previous generations of boys traded baseball cards.

There's a "catalog" where you can search for girls from particular high schools, and there are images from communities across New Hampshire: Bedford, Salem, Concord, Raymond, Laconia, Nashua and Manchester.

The men posting on this "image board" are anonymous. The women they're targeting are not.

Crews, 18, a freshman at New York University, wrote a column about the website for her college newspaper. She said she worried that writing about the site would only send more people to it, but, she said, "I thought girls had the right to know."

"I have people that have been very close to me that were terrified, texting all the boys they ever sent pictures to, terrified they would see themselves on there," she said.

"For me, it's just an issue of values and morality," she said. "The biggest thing is it's how men view women. The way they were talking about them was absolutely despicable."...

Well, she's right - it is all about values and morality. It's also about closing the barn door after the horse is out. The "kind of photos teen girls send to their boyfriends"? "All the boys they ever sent pictures to"? COME ON! If you act like a tramp, the world is going to judge you llke a tramp.

Lesson to be learned here???

Don’t take photos of yourself in nude or semi-nude conditions and share it with a boyfriend.

Wait until you are married to do things that should only be done with your life-long mate.

God will hold everyone involved responsible. The boys/men, the girls, and the website permitting this.

Well, honey, if you are sending them raunchy photos, what are they supposed to talk about? Your killer IQ?

Sad and disgusting to see how debauched teen-aged girls are today. When I was in high school, I would have died of embarrassment if a boy had accidentally seen my underwear. Cannot imagine my shame if one had seen me unclothed, even by accident.

LOL - men view women the way women want to be viewed. Nude selfies wouldn’t exist if women wanted to be respected for their intellect, charm or wit.

Teenage boys can be stupid...as can teenage girls. If a girl’s “boyfriend” asks for nude photos she should absolutely say “no”.If the boyfriend takes that rebuff badly he’s probably not worth having as a boyfriend.

Very true. I grew up long before the internet and sexting photos and all this modern technology. But even so, can’t imagine that common sense just goes out the window. These girls don’t have enough common sense to think through that sending racy photos out into cyberspace is a bad idea; that those photos could end up in the wrong hands?

It is also about the law... this is a felony in NH with up to 7 years in prison and a fine.

It’s funny to hear the girl complain about values and morality.

She attacks a lack of values and morality among the guys who are circulating these pictures. But she doesnt criticize the lack of values and morality among the girls who decide to take nude or other r suggestive pictures and lanuch those into cyberspace.

Links? But I don’t think I’d be looking at New Herefordshire
for hot women.

You know, a woman trusts a guy. She sends a photo because she likes him, and she wants to do something nice for him.

Guys that betray this sort of trust are a real special case of low class trash.

From the article: “- - the kind of photos teen girls send to their boyfriends, never imagining they could end up posted online someday.”

Unimaginably stupid. Zero morals in involved. They get what they deserve, except for the naive upstanding guy that marries one of these porn stars discovering later she was an internet slut and he’s probably the last guy on Earth to see her in the nude.

I was gyped! The only photos we got were in the high school yearbook.
