I can’t get this straight looking at FOX. They do not look like Amtrak cars, but maybe they have special cars outside the norm, or have they updated their paint scheme?
Also he keeps saying it’s a new line, but the bridge clearly has been there what with the vandalism on it. Amtrak also does not own any of its own lines outside the famed NE Corrider.

This was the 1st day Amtrak’s high speed train on a very old Freight train track. This is just south of Ft Lewis near Dupont.
KOMO reporter says officials are saying no injuries of those on the ground. All reports of injuries are coming from those on in the train cars. [Numerous train cars derailed.]

The locomotive, a Siemens built and one of eight new ones for the fleet, met new higher standards for reduced emissions. The EPA does its job again.. and AmTrak piled on..

The train was probably going too fast for the sharp curve. Saw that in the disaster in Spain a year or two ago.
Very sad, and reminiscent of Titanic on its maiden voyage.
Took that train to Vancouver, BC. The train stays there all day until around 4PM then heads back to Seattle, King St. station. Seems like something was wrong with the overpass it went over.
