You don’t need to be a resident for NYS to put the bite on you. You just need to have NYS source income.

You can own an expensive condo in NYC without being a resident of the city or state.

Yep even if there's less demand due to high taxes, you can bet there's still plenty of Saudis, Russians and Chinese who's willing to buy prime real estate in Manhattan because our laws protect their assets while property rights aren't quite guaranteed yet in their home countries.

The mayor is trying to levy a 14 percent tax increase on the city’s millionaires to pay for improvements to the city’s subway system.
Part of the money will be used to euthanize the horses in Central Park, first. ;^) Thanks Libloather.

Recalled in early 1990s that only 10,000 returns provided more than 50% of city revenue.

Do the math if 10% of those 10,000 leave -

New York elites, stay away from Texas! It’s all inbreds here! You will hear that banjo music. The food sucks. There’s cattle going through the streets of Houston, San Antonio, Dallas, and even allegedly weird Austin. Then all the big cities here have a Klan cross burning every Friday night. You will hate it here.

Don’t let them in! They’ll turn Florida into the liberal cesspools they left.

If they follow the California precedent, where ever they go they’ll make comparisons about how cleverly things were done back in good old New York. Us locals wonder why they ever left.

The evil donkey doesn’t understand what is happening to him. He still thinks his heard is in charge and because the media tells him so, he thinks nothing has to change. Raising taxes to buy votes is all the evil donkey knows.

Never in a million years would I call New York City (or New York State for that matter) my home...my *legal* home. But if I were to win the lottery (which, given that I don't buy tickets,is unlikely) one thing I'd do is buy a small place in the West 70's which I'd visit regularly but not so regularly as to violate the "184 nights per year" residency rule.

Well,I'm not an “elite”...or a New Yorker...but I am from the I-95 corridor.Just FYI....I was planning a move to Texas and once there I was planning to set up a “Texans For Transgendereds” human rights group and to campaign for every Rat on the ballot.I'm looking forward to being welcomed by you as a beloved neighbor!

And BTW...I love inbreds. All of us in my neck of the woods have twenty fingers and twenty toes!
