Has anyone sat in standstill traffic for 30, even 60 minutes and said ‘Hey we need more people on our shores?’

Ha! Works for me ;-)
No, we don't. Author has it all wrong. The housing situation is incredibly bad, causing overcrowding in many homes as people pool their resources to make the rent or mortgage. This causes vehicle congestion, due to multiple vehicles for each household, parking congestion with cars parked on sidewalks and driveways constricting flow of pedestrians, double-parking in the street congesting through-traffic. People aren't parking cars in garages due to renting out garages to tenants to sleep in. The overcrowding is horrible. Yet the city leaders want to cram more people into communities? Insanity! I've seen a lot of fighting between people over parking spots in front of their homes, as they try to preserve a spot for themselves as if they own the public parking at the sidewalk.
As for welcoming people in, the overtaxation and high cost of living is driving out young smart professionals and limiting their ability to have and care for babies. Meanwhile, the libs want to bring in uneducated illiterates with welfare babies as if that makes our economy hum - it does not. Insanity! These illiterates are a drain on taxpayer funds and need to be deported.Ten million deportations would make life more livable in California.

California is content to become an overwhelmingly rich enclave surrounded by slave labor camps (surrounding states)
This is satire, right? Lots of tongue in cheek.
California wants more “immigrants”. Read: Welfare recipients.
One of the things he’s complaining about is that so many people are leaving Calif to move to other states than are moving to calif. Maybe he needs to think about changing what is driving the productive people out while attracting those with no skills.
And its getting harder to attract more. Even though California is nice to immigrants, our federal government naughtily spreads anti-immigrant bigotry, makes it difficult for immigrants to enter the country, and engages in mass deportation of current immigrants.
So, rather than do anything about that, let's just import a new population ...
Two types of idiot are capable of writing that California “needs more immigrants”. Leftists and libertarians.
The first because they despise the old America and want to ethnically cleanse it.
The second because they are only capable of seeing value in terms of money.
Well there is also the Team Bush faction but there is no explanation for why they want to Make America Mexico Again.
