.. and what it’s taken the Israelis a half century to create, their a-rab ‘neighbors’ would turn into a slum within a year.

The Arabs who would come probably wouldn't ever be citizens.
The Arab women would turn into inveterate shopaholics.
The Arab men would learn English like you can't believe and would open shops.

The Iranians (not Arabs) came in droves in the 60's and NO ONE liked them because they were arrogant sobs.
The refused to call themselves "Arabs." They INSISTED on being called "Persians."

The American petroleum and natural gas workers called them ALL "ragheads." That term meant "pain-in-the-butt" middle easterners. If the shoes fits....

Iranians aren’t Arabs, FYI.

Arabs and Muslims have to make peace between themselves first.

They’re not offering Israel something it doesn’t already have.

Like the old, true and trite saying has it, “peace begins at home.”

Most Iranians are Persians. There are several minority’s groups but Persians are not Arabs and never have been Nor do most of them consider being called Arab a compliment.

Bingo. They see a clean prosperous city without realizing that they could live the same way, by working for it. And they also don’t realize that it can’t be stolen. They bring the failure and poverty with them. It’s inside of them.

Iranians aren’t Arabs, FYI.

I know that. Who DOESN'T know that? The Iranians are of European stock with the world's largest chip on their comprehensive shoulders.

Google: Aryan - Wikipedia https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Aryan
Aryan is a term meaning "noble", which was used as a self-designation by Indo-Iranian people. The word was used by the Indic people of the Vedic period in India as an ethnic label for themselves and to refer to the noble class as well as the geographic region known as Āryāvarta, where Indo-Aryan culture was based.

Iranians/Persians call themselves "noble."

"Noble" my aunt Fanny.

I can do ya one better. The word Pakistan means "land of the pure." Pure, my aunt Fanny.

Hitler used the term "Aryan" to describe HIS people. He learned that in his native country, Austria. He didn't leave Austria until he was 22 or 23 years old. The cake was baked.

More than a century, really. Perhaps several centuries to create, starting in 1513, approximately, with the first new immigrants from Istanbul, one of whom would codify Jewish Law, and one of whom would systematize the Kaballah, both founding schools in Tzfat. Others would plant orchards in the Galilee.

Maybe because they ARE Persians.

Lol.
I wonder what they called themselves during the wars between Greece and Xerxes, the king of Persia.
Google:
A Greek folk etymology connected the name to Perseus, a legendary character in Greek mythology. Herodotus recounts this story, devising a foreign son, Perses, from whom the Persians took the name. Apparently, the Persians themselves knew the story, as Xerxes I tried to use it to suborn the Argives during his invasion of Greece, but ultimately failed to do so.

So, they are all Greeks? Maybe so. Doesn't matter now.
There are 80.28 million (2016) Persians now. The Arab countries don't come CLOSE to that huge number of citizens.
I hadn't realized how huge their population is.

The Arabs in Israel wash the toilets and do other work like that. Saw it with my own peepers. The "middle men" are Palestinian Arab Catholics. It took me a while to get THAT moniker through my brain.
But, a 10-day trip through the HOLY LAND isn't really enough to know/see more than tidbits of the culture.

The Arab Muslims dominate construction crews. The boss man is Jewish, and he gets the crew together and gets them into the gate of the Jewish settlement, gets the jobs, and makes sure he and everyone gets paid. But the guys on the scaffolding and the machinery are Arabs.

Persians breaking the chains of the a-hole Imams and tyrannical Islamic slavery would do wonders for the Mideast. Obama knew this so he squashed the “Green Revolution” during Arab Spring.

I had the era post-1948 in mind, but appreciate your rightly expanding the scope, with which I'm regrettably unfamiliar.

As the years continue to roll by, I'm finding that information read (often more than once) is increasingly less likely to be retained.
Getting old blows, quite frankly.
