As of Wednesday evening, as Nicholas Fondacaro at NewsBusters observed, the three broadcasting networks were not reporting the content of the most damning text messages exchanged between now-former Robert Mueller investigative team members Peter Strzok and his mistress Lisa Page. Meanwhile, coverage seen Wednesday evening at the Associated Press predictably treated the matter as a Republicans-attack dispute. Almost no one seems to be interested in hearing from what other veteran or former FBI officials think about the Mueller team's and Bureau leadership's conduct.
One exception is Elizabeth MacDonald at the Fox Business network, who interviewed former FBI Assistant Director Jim Kallstrom on Thursday's Risk and Reward show. The dead giveaway that the AP's Wednesday dispatch was hopelessly biased is that the following three words are not present: "insurance," "protect," and "McCabe."
Those two words, plus an overwhelmingly likely reference to Assistant FBI Director Andrew McCabe, are present in the two most damning of the text messages sent between Strzok and Page, specifically (bolds are mine throughout this post):

Love that Liz MacDonald. She’s the best.
Hes not the only one.
Aong with both Clintons, Obama, Lois Lerner, the head of the irs, comey, half of Congress.
Good grief, Ill be all day making this list.
Ill never stop believing Kallstrom belongs there.
I want Kallstrom to reveal the truth about TWA Fl 800. He knows.
Is an acknowledged agenda of overthrowing the President treason? If it isn’t, it should be.
I agree with Kalstrom on many things but dont trust him after he blindsided the people 20 years ago in favor of the Clinton narrative on flight 800. He hid the truth. Someone either foreign or domestic, either accidentally or on purpose shot down flight 800. Many people in my Long Island neighborhood saw the missile rise and strike the plane. They were silenced.
Do we still have a firing squad?
See 8
Hell....any 3-5 of us can constitute a firing squad. Im sure many of us would volunteer.
“Love that Liz MacDonald. Shes the best.”
You bet..E Mac is razor smart and sort of a semi to full hot librarian type. Seems to be on right side of issues too.
The list should include thousands, great and small.
The list of different charges is so large it is incomprehensible
I’m surprised that Kallstrom has decided to up his public profile on this corruption issue considering his role in deep sixing the TWA 800 investigation. You’d think he’d want to disappear quietly into anonymous retirement.
It appears McCabe, if he appears, will testify in closed session instead of open session ( per Sundance).
Yes, he does know that the center fuel tank theory can’t be duplicated. Rush is very defensive about this guy.
Is he smart enough to take the Fifth is the only question I have. These arrogant fed managers are not overly blessed with intelligence.
Kallstrom leaves a sour taste in my mouth. Unless I have him mixed up with someone else, I believe he was the agent who ran the NY FBI Flight 800 coverup investigation, the one where Bubba had to coverup the shoot down to secure his re-election bid. If I’m correct, then Kallstrom’s criticisms are like the pot calling the kettle black.
The Hillary fall guy.
The problem with Kalstrom for me, is that I consider him to be a major league criminal. I believe what he did was something that could easily have happened under Hitler, not Reagan or Trump.
When I see him its as if someone hit the mute button. I hear nothing but he sound track of past deeds being aired all over again.
When someone that tainted airs a view similar to yours, it doesnt advance your beliefs. It tarnished them.
Far too many people know this guy for exactly who he was and is, for him to fool anyone about his true value.
