He's a skid mark. Sadly, he's the top of the downward spiral that is all Turkey will be able to manage from now on. i suspect he'll last another 20 years, short of his own untimely death -- he can't be replaced any longer -- by which time Turkey will be in the same shape as Albania, at best, and Zimbabwe at worst (and probably nearer the latter than the former).
I was there while I was in the USAF. I thought it was the arm pit of the world, and that was on a good day. I hated the place.
