In time of actual war, great discretionary powers are constantly given to the executive magistrate. Constant apprehension of war has the same tendency to render the head too large for the body. A standing military force with an overgrown executive will not long be safe companions to liberty. The means of defense against foreign danger have been always the instruments of tyranny at home. Among the Romans, it was a standing maxim to excite a war whenever a revolt was apprehended. Throughout all Europe, the armies kept up under the pretext of defending have enslaved the people. …No wonder Obama loved the continental Europeans (ironic, since it is the homeland of the hated white males) more than the USA. Also, he hated the English since they were one of the main forces to keep that tendency in check.
Considering the utter lawlessness that prevails in our age, including literally millions of organized crime members coming over our borders, I'm frankly surprised that the number of fatal shootings is under 1000.
IMO, there is no "problem" with police shooting civilians -- sure there are individual cases that are unjustified, but on a whole the numbers just don't support the idea that we have a particular problem with trigger happy cops. Hyping up shootings as if the nation is laboring under a plague of police brutality is just another leftwing tactic to yet further divide us.
If only....clean that place up in less than an hour!

It’s scary how many older conservatives who loved Dubya are supporting Trump in the same mindless way. You see these people cheering whenever Trump says or does something that goes against his campaign pledges
Trump is terrible on civil liberties issues in general. We have to call him out when he says idiotic things like this speech.
Bad idea. In fact we need to pull back from that philosophy. This if implemented will up the number of civil forfeitures and other extra legal abuses.
