Exclusive: Prominent lawyer sought donor cash for two Trump accusers
The Hill ^

Posted on 12/15/2017 8:17:51 AM PST by springwater13

well-known women’s rights lawyer sought to arrange compensation from donors and tabloid media outlets for women who made or considered making sexual misconduct allegations against Donald Trump during the final months of the 2016 election, according to documents and interviews.

California lawyer Lisa Bloom’s efforts included offering to sell alleged victims’ stories to TV outlets in return for a commission for herself, arranging a donor to pay off one Trump accuser’s mortgage and attempting to secure a six-figure payment for another woman who ultimately declined to come forward after being offered as much as $750,000, the clients told The Hill.

The women’s accounts were chronicled in contemporaneous contractual documents, emails and text messages reviewed by The Hill, including an exchange of texts between one woman and Bloom that suggested political action committees supporting Hillary Clinton were contacted during the effort.

Bloom, who has assisted dozens of women in prominent harassment cases and also defended film executive Harvey Weinstein earlier this year, represented four women considering making accusations against Trump last year. Two went public, and two declined.

In a statement to The Hill, Bloom acknowledged she engaged in discussions to secure donations for women who made or considered making accusations against Trump before last year’s election.

“Donors reached out to my firm directly to help some of the women I represented,” said Bloom, whose clients have also included accusers of Bill Cosby and Bill O’Reilly.

Try to have an idiotic Congressional hearing with paid whores as your ‘witnesses’. Yeah that’s credible stuff there.

Umm, reverse that. To them the ends justifies the means.

Some takeaways from the 1992 election:
1. Democrats will do ANYTHING to win an election;
2. Democrats have NEVER won a fair election;
3. Democrats want to destroy our form of government;
4. Ethics in legal, media and government is non-existent;
5. Our republic is on life support; and
6. The new norm when speaking to FBI (and other LEOs) is one word: Lawyer. Nothing else, not even your name.

Now we know why it’s so radical for Judge Moore to suggest that courtrooms should have plaques including the words “YOU SHALL NOT BEAR FALSE WITNESS”.

Natural law should tell us the same thing: if people get away with lying, nobody can trust anything.

That’s exactly where we’re at, yet it’s taboo for anybody to say that this kind of junk is wrong.

Yes but it has gotten worse since then this environment of sexual allegations obsession. Now loud claims = the God’s honest truth. Even in Alabama.

But for some reason this will never settle in the minds of voters. All they remember are the accusers.

You forgot the neoconservative cabal (McConnell, Bush family, Rove, Kristol) will also do ANYTHING to stop a conservative take over.

Remember Carville’s comment about dragging a hundred dollar bill through a trailer park? Did the lawyers for the Clinton accusers offer anything beyond a possible financial settlement?

Donald Trump is not Roy Moore. The President is a fighter, scrapper and take no prisoners. He answers false accusations with confidence and is believable when doing so. Again I say to the left, Bring it.

Remember: Blackmail and Extortion are only felonies unless lawyers issue the threats “for my client” and the lawyer gets a cut. Then it’s perfectly legal.

That one offer to one woman of $750,000 would certain cover more than a few trailer parks.

I always hated that statement anyway.

. “subornation of perjury - (law) inducing someone to make a false oath as part of a judicial proceeding; “to prove subordination of perjury you must prove the perjury and also prove that the perjured statement was procured by the accused suborner who knew that it would be false”

Close....Now all you need to find is a woman who she approached first and didn’t have a story until the money offer is mentioned.

I think it is solicitation of donors “California lawyer Lisa Bloom’s efforts included offering to sell alleged victims’ stories to TV outlets in return for a commission for herself, arranging a donor to pay off one Trump accuser’s mortgage and attempting to secure a six-figure payment for another woman who ultimately declined to come forward after being offered as much as $750,000, the clients told The Hill.”
That commission is a legal fee and is in direct conflict with the client whore. Anyone can file a grievance including state court judges and other attorneys. This is a blatant violation of ethics in my view. Maybe the “commission” was from client. This is what happened with Judge Moore. They were paying thousands and travel to New York city to liars and political whores. but p4eople are so stupid they fell for it after mitch Mcconnell ran the ads.
