Try finding decent housing on one H1B salary in silicon valley or in San Francisco........ tough Before I was displaced by one of these cheap-a$$ H1B guys, I know that a lot of these "braceros" would team up in groups of 3 or more so they could afford to rent an apartment in even the cheaper parts of the Bay Area. So, I can imagine how difficult it must be on 1 salary. Not that I give a rat's rear end, mind you.
(And yes, I am and remain bitter about the H1B invasion of the past decade or so)

Maybe the supply and demand solution here is for corporations to move out of Silicon Valley....
As I've said here on FR before - the H1B program is ultimately about subsidizing and pumping up real estate values in Blue State S#itholes. Stuffing bodies into buildings to create tax revenue.
