‘We Can’t Take That Risk’ — FBI Officials Discussed ‘Insurance Policy’ Against Trump Presidency

Two FBI officials who worked on Special Counsel Robert Mueller’s Russia investigation exchanged text messages last year in which they appear to have discussed ways to prevent Donald Trump from being elected president.

“I want to believe the path you threw out for consideration in Andy’s office — that there’s no way [Trump] gets elected — but I’m afraid we can’t take that risk,” FBI counterintelligence official Peter Strzok wrote in a cryptic text message to Lisa Page, an FBI lawyer and his mistress.

“It’s like an insurance policy in the unlikely event you die before you’re 40,” Strzok wrote in the text, dated Aug. 15, 2016.

Andy is likely Deputy FBI Director Andrew McCabe.

I didn’t notice this; the “path we laid out in Andy’s office”?? Was there a plot discussed to block the election of a presidential candidate in the FBI assistant director’s office?? If so, this is a far bigger scandal than Watergate and will tarnish the FBI forever. Where is the Special Prosecutor, Mr. Sessions?

I hope this is why President Trump interviewed, and DOJ hired, former FBI Director Mueller as Special Counsel. We shall be witnesses. May God rebuke the adversary and give grace to our nation to repent and be blessed and a blessing.

That’s not collusion, it’s a criminal conspiracy which at this point now involves three parties since we must include “Andy” for not stepping in when the subject “came up”.

US Marshall's Service needs to pick up Andy, Lisa and Strzok and put them in separate locations. Ask and find out who else was in the room at that meeting. Pick them up and separate as well, all the way down to the secretary bringing in the coffee.

Then handcuff all to tables, turn on the bright light overhead and start questioning. Do it before all can cook up a common story.

It sounds to me like an assassination plot was discussed. Once you get one to crack you use that info to work over the other ones. Something very sinister was in the works. And if they didn't take Lisa's plan then what did they all agree to?

McCabe has been at the FBI for awhile. There are questions about him covering up widespread sexual harassment at the FBI as well as the impropriety of his wife getting $700K from the Clinton Foundation for a failed Virginia Senate run in 2015.

Exactly. Seems to me that talking about Lisa presenting “plans” to Rosenstein, and Stzrock saying they have to make SURE Trump loses - as life insurance for them - is indeed a smoking gun. It explains everything they’ve done and shows a premeditated motive.

Since when is it the job of the FBI to try and thwart the electoral process? We need (and won’t get) a congressional investigation. But most likely so many members of congress are compromised that they won’t do anything. Drain the swamp!
