Grew up in WNY and have lived in CNY for a few decades now since getting married and moving out here.

But once a Bills/Sabres fan, always a Bills/Sabres fan.

Part of my mother’s family ended up in Canada after the Rev. War. They originally settled in Dutchess County, NY. I found out 1991 that I was related (a cousin) to Tim Horton, who played for the Buffalo Sabres at the time of his death (1974).

So can you get me some Timbits?

LOL!! I’d never even heard of Tim Horton until I visited the small town of Picton, Ontario, and met cousins I didn’t know I had. They were the ones who took me to the Tim Horton’s there, and explained the relationship. We don’t have any Tim Horton’s around here.

Hey, you should get part of the Tim Horton Donut franchise. I still remember the day he was killed on the QEW , when he lost control of his Pantera, very sad, a great player.

I remember him.

And they went and closed all his good little restaurants here in NYS. :(

I don’t really go up to Canada anymore, never really minded it, certainly could drive a lot faster on it than the 90. I did almost get buried on it during the blizzard of ‘87. We drove my girlfriend’s parents up to the Toronto airport for a flight to Germany, and drove right into the blizzard, almost didn’t make it literally.

Would love to know the context of that picture.

Is it an hour before the game? 2 minutes before the end of a blowout where people have left?

To all the America haters - clinton, bammy, farrakhan, lizzy warren, al sharpton, kapernick, kathy griffin, ellison - go to hell and get out of this country!

Add in the educators to the list ... they are the real problem.

Who is selling these tickets? Is it the clubs/stadium owners themselves, 3rd party purchasers

In my case, a single person who bought tickets in the hopes to take my kids occasionally to a game. Instead this year, I sold every single game.

Give ‘em to the hoodrats, that’s the NFL’s preferred demographic.

But absent this “bond” between team and the fan, its just a bunch of millionaires throwing a ball around, and who really cares? That’s what these guys failed to recognize, the importance of the bond with their fans. So they an still play ball, but no one is going to pay them millions to do it, because no one really cares who wins.

Well stated in all regards

Once they are forced to “makegood” with free commercial spots, the death spiral will be noticeable.

Agree. Used to watch 3 or 4 games over weekend, monday, Thursday. Now only watch 1....

The real indicator of NFL league revenue/attendance will be next year in season ticket sales.

You won't even have to wait that long. Between the Super Bowl and the start of the new League year the salary cap for the 2018-19 season will be announced. All teams must be in compliance before the League year starts. This season's was $167 million per team. I'm predicting a 20% drop, minimum. I bet it will go from nine figure to eight before the re-negotiation of the CBA begins. That's when the fur will really fly!
