A mailer sent by the campaign of Alabama Senate Democratic nominee Doug Jones compares Republican opponent Roy Moore to the former segregationist governor George Wallace just days after the Jones campaign faced a social media backlash over a different racially-charged flyer.
Fox News has obtained a copy of the latest mailer, sent to black voters in the state. It shows an infamous 1963 photo of Wallace standing at the schoolhouse door at the University of Alabama to block black students from enrolling.
“George Wallace fought to protect segregation,” the flyer reads. “So did Roy Moore.”
“Lying Doug Jones is at it again. This is just another attempt to manipulate African-American voters with lies while covering for his own horrible track record of defending an extremist with KKK ties,” Moore spokeswoman Hannah Ford told Fox News. “The mail piece speaks for itself,” Jones’ spokesman Sebastian Kitchen said.
The attack from the Jones campaign is rooted in how Moore in 2004 opposed efforts to remove segregationist language from Alabama’s constitution.
Segregation had long been outlawed by then, but the business community argued at the time it would be an important symbolic move for Alabama to take. The measure failed.

The left sure is “beating the bushes” to get out the black vote.
Probably not many old George Wallace voters still living; I would think most of those would be for Moore. Jones does seem confident of victory. Pray that the people of AL will wake up and detect the ongoing smear against Judge Moore.
From what I read here, they're doing more than that - exhorting blacks from neighboring states to come into Alabama to vote against Moore.
How they get away with that, I do not know.
Well the main difference is that Roy Moore is a Republican and George Wallace was a DemocRAT.

The Left is desperate to stop Roy Moore but it won’t work. Let’s get out and vote tomorrow, my fellow Alabamians, for Judge Roy Moore for US Senate!
Segregation; meaning things like the Black Caucus or Black Miss America or Black Entertainment Network or Black Lives Matter? So who is this guy trying to fool? Segregation and slavery always was and is still the policy of democraps.

How ironic. Not a day goes by without reading about some black group or organization segregating itself and excluding whites. Their desire to segregate after all our gains is appalling.
Now they are throwing the mud on the wall desperate to see what sticks.
All of the segregationists today are in the BLM or the NAACP.
Everything’s an apocalypse with these people. It’s exhausting.
We pray that voters in AL won’t be deceived by the smear against Judge Moore. Hopefully, the AL people may be able to discern.
Excuse me, but George Wallace was a Democrat, so you are really trying to spin things. It won’t work...
