This gerrymandering problem is easy to solve with enough will to do it. There's nothing in the Constitution that says we need to have 435 representatives. It stopped growing with the population in 1913. Even with 100,000:1 constituents to representatives ratio, it is very very tough to carve up districts.

Thirty Thousand dot Org

In case you're wondering, the ratio is 700,000:1 now.

"Federalist Papers 55 and 56 explicitly promised, without qualification, that there would be one Representative for every thirty-thousand inhabitants." (from thirty-thousand.org site)

that adds extra staff in DC & at home for each Rep.
Do not see any support for that on Conservative radio, Tv or prominent legislators. Maybe after Convention of States or proposed during Convention?

Court challenge to the sick Owe’Malley redistricting map, which looks like an octopus or a blob of spaghetti thrown against a wall.

Maryland “Freak State” PING!

Why is this a FEDERAL question?

<<<
No Constitutional scholar here, but I suppose it becomes a federal question because the gerrymandering 1) affects the state’s representation in Congress and 2)presents an impediment to the voting rights of some of the state’s citizens.
