Special Counsel Robert Mueller has sabotaged his own investigation of Russian meddling into the 2016 election. He has only himself to blame for ruining what could have been a credible probe.
As I will document below, Mueller deliberately assembled a team of partisans with a history of political bias who appear determined to undo the results of the 2016 presidential election and drive President Trump from office.
Because Mueller improperly stacked the deck of his special counsel staff with biased crusaders, he transformed what was supposed to be an impartial investigation into an illegitimate and seemingly corrupt one.
To restore integrity, Attorney General Jeff Sessions should un-recuse himself from the case for the limited purpose of cleaning up Muellers mess. There is no law that prevents the attorney general from doing this.
Sessions should remove all of the partisans on the special counsel staff and replace Mueller with someone who can bring a measure of neutrality and objectivity to the matter. This is vital as a matter of justice and simple fairness, and would give Americans trust and confidence in the outcome of the investigation.
There are plenty of highly skilled and qualified lawyers across America who have no particular political ax to grind. Mueller could have and should have hired them for his special counsel team to gather and evaluate evidence in a neutral and objective manner. Had he done so, his investigation would be regarded as fair and honest.
Mueller chose to do just the opposite a clear indication of his improper bias.
Mueller also selected from the ranks of the FBI an agent by the name of Peter Strzok to serve as his top investigator. Strzok has since been exposed for his numerous texts disparaging President Trump and supporting Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton.

When did Jarrett flip? I remembered him as anti Trump pro Hillary during the campaign.

I don’t remember him being anti Trump. I like him and if he was ever anti Trump I would not feel that way.
I don’t recall Gregg Jarrett being an anti-Trumper. He’s been doing great work in exposing Mueller’s bias in this special counsel fiasco in my view.
For whatever reason, Trump won’t do it. I really hope there is a good reason why (like keeping Sessions at DOJ), but from the outside, it’s hard to be positive about this.
Who doesn’t know that Mueller is a Weasel King of the FBI?
Sessions?
By being such an obvious witch-hunt, when they finally DO clear Trump and his people of any collusion with the Russians, nobody will be able to claim it was a whitewash investigation by pro-Trump people.
Where is Jeff Sessions?
Why hasn’t he made a statement reassuring Americans that the DOJ and FBI will be cleansed and fixed.
Leadership is needed now. Yet he is AWOL.
“For whatever reason, Trump wont do it.”
He may just be giving them enough rope to hang themselves. If that’s his strategy, so far it’s going very well.
I don’t agree that Mueller and everyone should be fired because getting a new team up to snuff would prolong this debacle even further.
I’ve not given up hope that the DOJ will get this all sorted out. It seems the IG investigation is getting good results in pruning the briar patch. No doubt there’s a lot going on that we don’t know about.
I’m rather enjoying Bob’s stepping on everybody *else’s* d*ck besides CINC’s, inadvertently! I say we keep him.
I dont remember him ever being anti - Trump. He was definatly not a Hillary supporter .
The Weasel Sessions has be quiet as a Church Rat.
Bump!
He also wants to renew the investigation with new prosecutors.
More like political assassins and dirty cops.
Lets Wrap This FReepathon Up, Folks!
He has been indefensible. I even think his supporters on FR have had their eyes opened.
After only coming up with low level indictments for mortgage fraud and some fibbing to the FBI, It’s all Bob has left is an attempt to trigger POTUS into firing him so they can claim obstruction of justice. Rosenstein to appear on Capitol Hill next week before Congress. This is what he can expect...

“I’m calling for Mr. Mueller’s resignation or his firing”

He’s asleep or out there somewhere as a new version of “Weekend at Bernies”.
