They are, at the end of the day, Transnationals. Such people cannot be patriots. The nation where they are citizens is a springboard. A tool, and nothing more. I think W has an urge to be a better man than that, but he is not strong enough at any level to get out of the family and globalist crab basket.
It wasn’t a terribly popular view here in FR at the time, but some of us recognized GWB as an @sshole more than 10 years ago. The 2006 midterm disaster for the GOP should have been a reality check for the big-government globalists who own the party.
