The Brits loathe Trump. I suppose because of business deals but they can’t get around his American vitality and can-doism. They are a pretty enervated group over there. Worn out by two many wars. A lesson for us!
Here’s something I’ve been wondering: If Trump’s tax plan goes through, what happens to the EU’s big banks if billions get repatriated? I’ve read US companies have some like $2 trillion parked overseas. Seems to me like the EU would have one mother of a motive to see Trump gone if the EU needs that money to stay right where it is...
I'm not listening today, but here is another clue that this is a McConnell scheme.
Why wait for "the coming weeks" for Franken to take his time about resigning? CNN is reporting that 32 Democrat Senators are calling for Al Franken to resign, so Franken's expulsion is a sure thing.
McConnell can force the expulsion vote on Franken now; he doesn't have to wait for the outcome of the Alabama election. But McConnell won't do it now. He will wait until it best fits HIS needs, instead of controlling the media news cycle for Republicans by doing it today.
And McConnell's need is to have leverage to force Moore out after he wins in Alabama. Therefore, McConnell will wait until then for Franken to resign, so he can demand a "bipartisan" purge in the Senate. If Franken goes now, the pressure is reduced on Moore after he wins next week.

Once Trump had the nomination, he was definitely pro Trump over Hillary.

I remember then and he was... somewhat. It did tick me off now and then but so did a lot of people here on Free Republic. Surely you remember the Cruzers versus the Trumpers spats that took place on nearly every thread!
I had to fight like crazy to keep the peace on my Sunday Talk Show* thread. A couple of times I failed.
But once the convention was over we all banded together to fight the good fight. So did Rush. We all carry a little scar or more from those days.
Rush was far more fair than the rest, especially Levin. He was a real dope. Hannity was always loyal.
By the way, as I’m recommending using the Youtube podcast to listen to Rush, I should mention that on the Sunday Talk Show thread we’re also posting the Youtube podcasts of all those shows as soon as they’re available. You’ll find them on the thread posted in the mid-afternoon on Sundays.
