He would not have pled guilty if he did not know the amount of time he would have to serve.
Most lawyers are pathetic. They are in the business to fleece the public and further their power of extortion. They run every facet of government and ,pass laws for the benefit of lawyers. They also get a piece of every business. The judge does not share his sentence with his lawyer buddies in every case. I have 6 lawyers in my family and one circuit judge. My brother is a retired lawyer and talks with me about how corrupt the whole system is.
It’s not my job to tell people what to post.
But to actually go do what this guy did was wrong.
But 15 years in jail is a much greater wrong.
The guy was very stupid to do this in context that I read he was on probabtion from two past convictions .
A total idiot in that context to do what he did.

Y’all should probably have read the article. He was sentenced as a habitual offender. Criminal mischief to a place of worship that results in damages above $1000 is a 3rd degree felony. Under Florida’s habitual offender law, a 3rd degree felony caries a mandatory minimum sentence of 10 years, with a maximum sentence of 15 years. His sentence was harsh because he is a career criminal loser. Frankly, he is lucky they let him plead to just criminal mischief. They could have charged him with burglary, which under Florida law becomes a 1st degree felony if you enter a building with the intent to commit an offense therein and subsequently cause damage in excess of $1000. If he were to be convicted of a 1st degree felony as a habitual offender then the sentence is life. Which is probably why he plead out.
