Tucker Carlson: Gun Confiscation Proponents Risk ‘Civil War’
Breitbart ^ | 5 Dec 201 | AWR Hawkins

Posted on 12/07/2017 8:17:11 AM PST by Cheerio

During the December 4 airing of Tucker Carlson Tonight, Carlson asked gun control proponent Mark Glaze if he was ready for the civil war that would follow any real attempt to confiscate firearms in the U.S.

Glaze is the former head of Michael Bloomberg-funded Everytown for Gun Safety. Carlson’s comments came after Glaze bounced from one gun control idea to another, grasping to find one he could justify. His ideas ranged from background checks–which we already have–to all-out bans on certain categories of firearms.

Carlson seized on the push to ban certain firearms and said, “You’re saying ban a class of firearms, any rifle with a capacity of more than one above a certain caliber. I don’t know exactly what the criteria are that you’re suggesting, but basically any rifle that you’d use for deer hunting would be banned?’

They take almost half of our money and that hasn’t caused a Civil War.

Just sayin.

Fulton and DeKalb don’t run the state of GA. Thank God! If civil war breaks out those two counties will be sitting silent hoping the rest of us don’t notice them. :-)

It was frustrating to not hear Glaze’s response, if there was one. Article left us hanging.

I would have liked the Bloomerbot to respond thusly:

“You rightwing racist gun nuts are always fantasizing about civil war and Red Dawn. If you’re ordered to turn in your guns, you’ll go quiet as mice to the police station. Armed resistance, hah! Don’t make me laugh, you Rambo wannabes!!”

“America 2025?

First they made the guns illegal and people bought more ammo.

Then they came for the guns,”

Ima stop you right there. They’ll never “come for the guns”. They will price Ammo through the roof and require permissions to own certain types. They will ban types of ammo. They will enact penalties so severe for such ownership that people will line up to hand in their guns.

I watched this in Connecticut. I no longer have faith in the majority of US gun owners. Some, yes. Most - no.

First they came for the Communists and I did not speak out because I was not a Communist

Then they came for the Socialists and I did not speak out because I was not a Socialist

Why anyone would include Communists and Socialists in that train of reason is beyond me.

They are #1 and #2 in the Gun-Confiscation Cabal.

"This is a prime example of clickbait."

Yeah, but clickbait to what?? When the original article doesn't say, where are you gonna "click" to? I don't see any obvious link that would take one (for instance) to a YouTube video containing the whole exchange.

Betcha a large part of Fulton and DeKalb will be in favor of this....now whether they go through with it or not is a different matter.

So, what would happen if no food made it into the city for a week, or a month?

I don’t see cops fascinated with the confiscation game.

Nope they all own guns to and know they wont be exempt.

In Canada the RCMP have to lock their guns in the office when they end their shift.

“And all for a great reason which will celebrate them as heroes”

That was the initial esprit de corps of the soldiers enlisting in the armies of CSA.

Once folks start dropping it’s not nearly as much fun. ESPECIALLY when their homes and families are targeted in return.

They live among us.

“That scenario will remain undescribed by me.”

It’s well known what that is.

Their homes and families will be targeted.

I won’t recommend that each and every one of us take at least two standard caliber firearms, one rifle, one handgun, along with adequate supply of magazines and ammunition, a few spare parts, and carefully prepare them for long term storage in an obscure yet reachable location, just for goodness sake!

If just one percent of the population resist’s and they will, you have a lot of dead citizens on the horizon and dead law enforcement and that is not counting the collateral damage.

Sure law enforcement officers will kill many citizens to uphold the law and the line “ I was just doing your job” will be trotted out just like at Nuremberg. In the process they are also going to have lots of collateral damage, children, women, the elderly killed in their raids.

This will not sit well in those communities. I predict lots of trials with jury nullification or not guilty verdicts in the face of overwhelming evidence, throwing into question the use of jury trials.

These officers arresting, assaulting and killing their neighbors have to live in these communities, their families as well. Eventually there will be retaliatory strikes against these officers and their families, it’s human nature. I am not saying it is right, it’s just human nature.

If you set out to hit ten houses with your assault team and eight of the ten go off with just arrest, what happens when your other two result in lots of dead citizens and wounded or dead cops? What happens when one of these confiscation teams gets ambushed and the whole team cut down. Once full blown confiscation hits there will be resistance and any resistance with two gray cells would attempt to take out the confiscation teams. What happens if these teams families are retaliated on? Will you then still have lots of people signing up for this duty?

That is the thing about a civil war. As a citizen if the government pushes you to the point where you are forced to fire a weapon against it, the first shot is the hardest, once that is made the rest come easy and then things get really nasty for both sides. Liberals have a way of being deliberately stupid and unwilling to see unintended consequences they cause. I hope and pray it never comes to a civil war.
