When did actors become the ultimate authority on the constitution?
CNNs David Axelrod (who, lest we forget, was Obamas political guru) interviewed actor Tom Hanks on The Axe Files on December 2, and pushed Hanks to pontificate on Donald Trump, the constitution, and fake news. When Axelrod asked Hanks whether he was concerned by the president target[ing] news organizations, Hanks responded, As an American, it concerns me because its monkeying around with our Constitution.
Again, this is David Axelrod, who worked for Barack Obama. He now has a show on CNN. Hes asking wonderfully leading questions about Donald Trumps criticism of CNN. Is just a little self-awareness too much to ask?
Anyway, according to Judge Hanks, media criticism is meddling with the constitution. Where is that in the amendments?
In the hour long interview, Hanks went on to talk about the fake news phenomenon: Its relatively obvious, I think, as what is trying to go forward. When you tear down these institutions to a level and say you cant believe anything that is in any of them, that raises the stock of those agenda-filled other institutions and what not so that if you cant believe them, well that means you get to believe some of the other stuff that is in these and so what is happening is that dilution, the dilution of the great
theyre throwing dirt and oil into a bucket of water. So it all becomes undrinkable after a while, he told Axelrod, the former senior Obama official who now has a show at

Freedom of the press means we all get to express our own opinions without the government preventing us. It is for ALL Americans, not just big corporations who "own" broadcasting rights or printing presses.
STFU Forrest Gump
Hanks was perfect for the role. He didn't even have to act.
More Fake News.
...but The Lying, Dying Fake News Liberal Media choosing sides and lying is just what the Constitution call for?
How about False News or Fraudulent News or just plain Propaganda News?
Sorry we ruined your black panther party.
Whoever wrote that line for this moron should be fired.
Box of chocolates there Gump? Thats about your speed. Try staying in the acting field. Your totally oblivious to anything else.
Tom is Briliant!
When his costar is a Soccor Ball!
When the cops dont come when you called the cops, you should call the cops!
Did Hanks actually say that in response to that particular question or did CNN edit the video to make it appear that way?
Actuallt Tom Hanks has his own right to free speech, we don’t have to listen and most don’t care what he thinks or says.
BTW they should turn on other news channels at airports then C No News rstings wpuld tank.
When Axelrod asked Hanks whether he was concerned by the president target[ing] news organizations, Hanks responded, As an American, it concerns me because its monkeying around with our Constitution.
What is that saying, it is better to keep quiet and let people think you are ignorant rather then open you mouth and remove all doubt.
how many times did ayatollah obama bash Fox News??? how many times did Hanks speak out about it??? oh wait- Hanks used to bash Fox News as well...
Another Hollyweird A hole commenting on things he has scant knowledge. What exactly is Hanks’ knowledge base on the constitution? Well, his education background shows nothing in that realm. He did study acting in college though so I guess he qualifies because he knows how to speak with authority.
Someone once categorized a manager of ours as: he dresses well, speaks well, looks good and after that you have said it all. Fits here.
Hanks is like the serious acting version of Al Franken’s comedy “career”. Neither is good or believable.
