The Supreme Court heard oral argument today in the Colorado cake maker case. The issue is whether Colorado can coerce a baker, Jack Phillips, into making a custom cake for a gay wedding when he objects to gay marriage on religious grounds.
It quickly became apparent that, to no ones surprise, Justice Kennedys vote will likely decide the case. The questions Kennedy asked created some discomfort for both sides, but more for the gay couple.

Kennedy must be close to retiring.
I so want to see a Constitutionalist, Originalist, Textualist in his seat.
Can a Christian baker be forced to decorate a cake for a Satanic wedding?
When you justices appear in your final judgement, remember your opinion on this matter; God will.
Don’t trust Kennedy.
“He’s done this before. Don’t be fooled — he’ll side with the gays.”
Kennedy is the father of sodomy.
I think he is probably proud of that title.
not too long ago there was a gay run coffee shop or some such store that threw a tirade and kicked out Christians and screamed at them that they don’t want their business ever- No lawsuits were filed- nooen ran the damn gay shop out of business- noone faked tears and exclaimed that they were ‘traumatized’ by the incident’
IF the supreme court rules against this cake business- then that gay shop should be immediately sued and fined out of business like they did to the cake business- not out of vindictiveness, but rather out of equal protections under the law-
So then a Gay baker, can be forced to bake an Islamic cake showing Muslims pushing a gay off a building.
He is an opportunistic dirtbag who wants to be the center of attention since no president would ever appoint him as chief justice. Phony conservative.
Why is a crucifix in urine said to be “art” and protected by the first amendment rights but when an artist does a wedding cake it isn’t protected and NOT considered art? I call bullshit! http://creativetimereports.org/2015/01/30/free-speech-piss-christ-charlie-hebdo-andres-serrano/
The Argument is simply this, are we a Free People or not?
If the Court rules against the Baker, we are not.
I wonder how a court would decide if a Muslim baker refused to make a cake with Mohammed’s picture on it?
But I agree....where's the line.
These homos were out to make trouble. I heard one speak....how they cried after they left the cake shop...That was the biggest clue.
They had the option to go to other cake shops....but deliberately picked this one. It's all about money and their agenda. They're a pain in the a**.P>In fact....why not decorate your own damn cake.
Could you explain your comment? I do not catch what you are implying.
Where’s the line....Pretty easy really...No one should be “forced” by the govrnment to participate in ANY event. No reason needed.
If I were a T-shirt silk-screener, there's no way I would design a T-shirt that said "Celebrate Pederasty" or "F*** Trump" or "Support ISIS" or "Happy Birthday Adolph Hitler." I don't have to design a message I happen to abhor --- religion or no religion.
A wedding cake is a message. (C'mon. What is the first word in "wedding cake"?) I don't hate the people who asked for this message, I am simply free to decline to be the messenger.
And this means for any reason, or what you might call no reason at all: simply because it's my labor.
It's about choosing free enterprise, not involuntary servitude.
