Yup. Total disgraces to the oath and uniforms. I respect their service but not their position. Guess that makes me racis’ or something.
They gloss over the fact that we have our 2nd amendment rights precisely for being the 5th branch of government.
Some concrete and reasonable steps could indeed be taken such as passing laws against using guns to murder people or to intimidate people from whom one wishes to steal.
Strange that there aren’t more general officers on that list. G.O.’s as division or installation commanders can be real jerks about privately owned weapons in the lower ranks.
Food for thought: All G.O.s are subject to Senate approval for promotion. Their rank doesn’t become permanent until retirement & until then getting reduced for cause does not require a court martial.
IOW, general officer rank is political by its very nature. And don’t assume all G.O.s are rock ribbed conservatives; “I’ll tell you what I think and you shut your mouth and listen and obey.” is pretty much their modus operandi.
Glad I saw this here...caused me to go back to early prince of fools years and find a coupla those JCS write-ups that never went anywhere...as is shown by the article posted here...we never learn nor act accordingly...the “conditioning” is so great!

Virtually every flag-rank officer in the military is a self-promoting, narcissistic political animal from head to toe. Just what about military service at any level makes any general officer an expert on gun ownership and its effects on society? It’s analogous to the climate change nonsense; over half of the “scientists” promoting it know nothing about climatology.
