Bring back dueling.
If you have a beef with someone, you challenge them to a duel.
One of the 2 of you winds up dead and the other suffers no retribution or consequences from law enforcement or liberals.

“including Army Gens. Wesley Clark and Michael Hayden,”

I don’t respect either one of these people.

"Sixteen of the nation’s top retired military commanders are urging Congress to pass gun control legislation, arguing that there are many steps that can be taken to curb gun deaths that do not violate the Second Amendment."

Yeah... Maybe they can start by denying constitutional rights to illegal aliens and folks who call themselves Africans instead of Americans....

If you can't raise your hand and take the "Pledge of Allegance" or stand up for the National Anthem then being an American with all the liberties and constitutional rights thereof may NOT be for you....

This really surprises me. Actually I find it shocking. I know ADM Olson. I briefed him several times when he was the commander of USSOCOM. (Read: United States Special Operations Command) I never would have imagined a former Navy SEAL with an excellent record would support such a ridiculous unconstitutional idea. Remember the oath you and I took Admiral? No one said it was no longer effective after we retired! How disappointing!

McChrystol, Cheney, Petraeus, etc. All are part of the club of modern low quality Generals that would be better suited as MBAs or politicians.

They have no military accomplishments and are failures there, so they seek relevance elsewhere.

Wesley Clark, the idiot who almost launched WWIII and was stopped by a sane Brit officer.

No.

Any steps that infringe on our individual, God-given right to keep and bear arms will (by definition) violate the Second Amendment. These traitors should be ashamed of themselves. I don’t know or care how much they were paid to lie, or if they are foolish enough to somehow believe what they are saying, nor do I care any more about their service, not now that they have betrayed the Constitution of the United States.

I served too. The difference is I took my Oath seriously. That Oath meant exactly, word-for-word what it said, and it had no expiration date.

The only gun legislation that should be considered is a repeal on the restrictions for silencers/suppressors, a repeal on the restrictions for short-barreled rifles/shotguns, nationwide concealed carry reciprocity, and other legislation that restores the Second Amendment to its original meaning. “Shall not be infringed” is the strongest protective phrase used in the Constitution, and it means exactly what it says.

Some of these folks (like Clark) lost my respect long ago. The rest - whom I knew nothing of - just lost it.

These are political generals, chosen by either Clinton or Obama for their political reliability, not their abilities or their faithfulness to their oaths. By their actions in this matter, they have dishonored themselves, and also the services that they (undoubtedly) claim to love so much.

Becoming a general means you finally get to be a politician. Patton was the exception.

This is why all freedom loving Americans need to fight the left like President Trump does: RELENTLESSLY

Progressives will never stop fighting to steal our country from us.

We need to fight them just as hard every day.

If we do that we win. All they have is lies & fallacies.

We have Truth. #MAGA

It’s another vapid call for “a discussion”.

The thing about “discussions” is all participants get to have their ideas heard and fairly addressed - they’re not one-sided “I’ll tell you what I think and you shut your mouth and listen and obey.” Gun controllers are always big on telling gun owners why guns should be controlled, but never listen to the people who actually own/use them - but somehow this is a “discussion we must have”.

Need something succinct like:
“Once you subtract out suicides and drug-related homicides, the remaining numbers are ... what was the issue again? because there isn’t much of a problem here. Yes suicides are a problem - we address that by addressing suicides. Yes drug-related violence is a problem - we address that by addressing drug-related violence. Yes the remaining casualties are a problem - we address those according to their categorical natures, and not by banning 100,000,000 things that never hurt anyone. Now address the topic in that context, without just ignoring what I just said.”
