Former national security advisor Michael Flynn's guilty plea of lying to the FBI about his conversations with Russia's ambassador during last year's presidential transition caused a ruckus in the United States as special counsel Robert Mueller's investigation inches closer to President Donald Trump.

But in Russia, Flynn's guilty plea was played down as just another chapter in a months-long witchhunt.

As reported in The Moscow Times, Russian senator and ally of President Vladimir Putin, Alexie Pushkov, tweeted that Mueller was pumping "a bag of smoke" and downplayed Flynn's guilty plea as a negligible misstep.

"Is this crime worthy of the electric chair?" Pushkov wrote on Twitter on Sunday.

Whether case again Flynn is right or wrong doesn’t matter. Not the issue to them. The Russian government doesn’t want their citizens to get the wild idea from America that people in power should be subject to trial and held accountable for their actions.

And they’re just having fun being relevant in US political news at all. They hate being ignored or forgotten especially by America.

Robert Mueller’s investigation inches closer to President Donald Trump...

And that’s the end game. And those who are in denial here better at least make sure their guns are at the ready because deep state wants him out!

If that happens, CWII begins.

What concerns me is Obama in China violating the Logan Act and then Billy Bush trying to resurrect his career by pandering to the Deep State Media complex by coming out with outrageous stories (which I don’t believe for a minute, I just skimmed the latest article on Drudge) just at the right moment when all the players think they’re making their end moves against President Trump. I remember Watergate and how the combined noise of many enemies convinced the political establishment to force President Nixon to resign. Backup plan, to force Republican candidates and officials to spend so much money defending themselves against false charges that it destroys them financially. (Remember Sarah Palin resigning.) This is a banana republic.

Maybe WWIII is what they want. Then, they could bring in their military weapons and wipe out most of their opposition. However, it would weaken the nation so that, certainly, other nations, not as crazy as leftist America, would come in. Then, we would have war as far as the mind can see. It is just amazing that the lust for power in the human creature is so vicious. The million dollar question here is whether the US military would go along. Obama changed it in so many ways that the youth may be confused about the nation they are fighting for. You only have to look at the NFL to see that.

So Putin is mocking the media frenzy that attempts to impeach Trump.

Yeah Putin and sadly much of his country is all too eager to keep distracted from pressing domestic struggles. Their declining living standards, their slogging economy, runaway corruption, demographic crisis, etc...

Far more easy to focus on the countries they’re prone to envy. To believe how democracy is a sham. And how the West is in chaos. Lest people get the wild idea they want change too and a true democracy of their own. (Big no-no for Putin and his oligarchs!)

‘’’’Yes freedom of speech is against the law in Russia you’re right. Puts you in jail.’’’’

More like bribery and corruption. Name one public figure who went to jail over freedom of speech.

‘’’’Punitive psychiatry for political dissidents also making a return. https://www.theguardian.com/world/2017/mar/28/russian-authorities-imprisoning-crimean-tatars-in-psychiatric-hospitals’’’';

There are crazy muslims over there. Don’t you believe they are?

(and I’m a Christian!) but this is absurd and becoming more and more common:

A man in the southern Russian city of Stavropol faces potential jail time for writing atheist comments on a website. In 2014, Viktor Krasnov, 38, posted on social media a message that equated the Bible to a “collection of Jewish fairytales.” He is being prosecuted under a law that criminalizes speech deemed offensive to the beliefs of Russian Orthodox Christians.
