Mueller aide fired for anti-Trump texts now facing review for role in Clinton email probe
Fox News ^ | Dec. 3, 2017 | James Rosen, Jake Gibson

EXCLUSIVE – Two senior Justice Department officials have confirmed to Fox News that the department's Office of Inspector General is reviewing the role played in the Hillary Clinton email investigation by Peter Strzok, a former deputy director for counterintelligence at the FBI who was removed from the staff of Special Counsel Robert S. Mueller III earlier this year, after Mueller learned that Strzok had exchanged anti-Trump texts with a colleague.

A source close to the matter said the OIG probe, which will examine Strzok's roles in a number of other politically sensitive cases, should be completed by "very early next year."

The task will be exceedingly complex, given Strzok's consequential portfolio. He participated in the FBI's fateful interview with Hillary Clinton on July 2, 2016 – just days before then-FBI Director James Comey announced he was declining to recommend prosecution of Mrs. Clinton in connection with her use, as secretary of state, of a private email server.

He is no different than Mueller or any other team member, but he is the only member stupid enough to telegraph his position on social media.

During the Election I thought I read that the FBI was known as TRUMPLAND?

“There was a bunch of people on here last week declaring Mueller was a covert Trump associate. ”

Wishful thinking. We shall know them by their acts: only manafort and Flynn have been leaned on and humiliated in public. Until Podesta gets a no knock FBI raid on a Sunday morning, this type of speculation is just noise.

I think this is being brought to light by the Nunes investigation and the OIG probe is a forced response to it.

I have been looking around. There don’t appear to be any that are searchable through Google.

Page was apparently involved with a money laundering case against Dmitry Firtash. It has been reported that Manafort was a former partner of Firtash.

A lot of the rank and file perhaps, but they have been stuck under oppressive liberal leadership.

For example, this guy supposedly led what was known as “the skinny team” at the FBI that was composed of a small select group of fixers, and the reviews of all potential Clinton crimes were held exclusively under their control.

I know the term...well.

It can be assumed with 99% certainty, that a Hillary backer is a Trump hater.
It’s like “don’t ask, don’t tell”.

On further thought, I think lynch pin is a better description of his role, just as it was for Ollie North and John Dean, each the lt. col. with loads of responsibility carrying out his assigned duties.

There is an entirely separate case outside of the supposed Russiagate (in which Strzok may have played a role) for a special counsel to investigate tarmacgate and servergate.

Strzok needs to be investigated, not just moved to some other area in the FBI.

If he is anti Trump, he is pro Hillary. So, his clearing of Hillary in the email probe is null and void.

Time to re-investigate Hillary?
