President Trump plans to give a speech next week naming Jerusalem as the capital of Israel, according to an Axios report published Friday.
The report cites a “White House spokesman” who told the news outlet that Mr. Trump always planned to address the matter, but he has been waiting for the right time to make the announcement. The speech is currently slated for Wednesday.
“The President has always said it is a matter of when, not if. The President is still considering options and we have nothing to announce,” the spokesman told Axios.

Israel has claimed Jerusalem as it’s Capitol for years. Wouldn’t it be the USA recognizing Jerusalem as the Israeli Capitol rather than declaring it?

Capital too.
I should think that would be the more accurate statement. I don’t think the president of the U. S., has the freedom or obligation to name the capital of another country!

The President is declaring to the U.S. that Jerusalem is the capital of Israel. I see nothing wrong in that statement. Declare can mean “firmly announce.”
Joel 2:32: “And it shall come to pass that whoever calls on the name of the LORD shall be saved. For in Mount Zion and in Jerusalem there shall be deliverance, as the LORD has said, among the remnant whom the LORD calls.
Wake up, America!
Declare in the is case means announcing, not deciding or determining.
This is step 1.
Step 2 is to move the US embassy there.

( and even if there’d never been God or the Bible, it’s still awfully embarrassing for USA to single out just Jerusalem, israel alone for this kind of stupid insulting treatment among about 300 countries on earth. The Nazis and islamonazi agent’s all need to be flushed out of the Washington DC Swamp - including at the Snake Dept - one of the deepest and most infested parts of the swamp for sure!

I think Trump waited a bit to give the Palestinians the chance to prove they are humans (by getting rid of their visceral hatred towards Israel)...and they were unable to do that.
Oh well....
