What he should do is demand congress send Kate’s Law to his desk tomorrow to sign, to issue an executive order barring US government from hold new business, meetings, or travel to any sanctuary city or state. Further, maybe help arm US citizens via National Reprocity legislation.

Equivalent to the OJ verdict. In both case, jury nullification...they knew the guy was guilty, but wanted to ‘send a message’ - to Trump in this case.
One problem though - they played right into Trump’s hands, and just in time for the shutdown.
Now we get to read about how Trump's tweet is an attempt to undermine the rule of law, and then we get to ignore that nonsense.
If there was ever a case where the federal government should step in with civil rights charges, this is it.
Trump should round up as many ICE agents as possible. Deploy them here to California and start mass deportations. Men, women, children. All of them that dont belong here. If Jerry Brown starts bitching, Trump should threaten to grab him by the p***y.

Perhaps they’re not so much mad at illegal aliens as those Americans, politicians, law enforcement, and employers who enable and harbor them, violating the law and/or their oaths of office.
The jury had to believe the story of a man with a history of lawbreaking (multiple deportations), who had by chance “found” a gun, and then “accidentally” it went off while accurately pointed at Ms. Steinle.
Not a single juror stepped up to say “BS”.
