A moderate earthquake with a preliminary magnitude of 5.1 has struck Delaware, with shaking felt as far away as Baltimore, New Jersey, Philadelphia, and New York City, seismologists and residents say. Only few details were immediately available.

The earthquake, which struck at around 4:47 p.m. on Thursday, was centered about 6.4 miles northeast of Dover, or 11 miles southeast of Smyrna. It struck at a depth of 5 miles, making it a very shallow earthquake.

According to the U.S. Geological Survey (USGS), the earthquake had a preliminary magnitude of 5.1. People across the region - as far away as Salisbury, Annapolis, Baltimore, Wilmington, Vineland, Lancaster, Pennsylvania, and New York City, reported feeling the earthquake.

There were no immediate reports of damage or injuries but we're working to gather more information.

His live stream is Earthquake 3D Live Seismic Stream

He will be talking about this for the next few hours, plus some other predictions for later in the week. Given his track record, it is hard to deny that he is on to something.

The house shook pretty well here in Litchfield County, Connecticut.

Not sure of exactly how long it was shaking, but easily close to a minute.

Located “in the Litchfield Hills”, on or nearly directly on some ancient bedrock...

But out here in the land of fruits and nuts it has to be 100 times stronger than that to make the news.

I know, I remember a few of them when I had the "pleasure" of being in Southern Cal.

But to keep it in context, the 2011 earthquake in Virginia (a 5.8, epicenter about 100 miles from DC), did a huge amount of damage in DC, including the National Cathedral, the Washington Monument, and damage to the old Smithsonian.

I work at Dover Air Force Base in the medical facility, and felt it on the third floor. “That’s either an earthquake, or a big airplane has crashed,” I said. The entire building shook.

Understood that a 4.4 is legitimate news on the east coast. But out here in the land of fruits and nuts it has to be 100 times stronger than that to make the news.

That would be a 6.4, right?

Listening to him, now.

He predicted this one several days ago.

As he was speaking, two more earthquakes hit in CO and ID.

Saying the next hit will be on the E coast, in VA, coming from this latest CO earthquake. Maybe a 3.1.

Yeah, I listen in the background all the time as I work and lurk. He is very entertaining as well as being highly accurate on forecasting quakes. Did you see his daily update get cut off last night? Youtube has been trying to kill his live stream and the USGS hides quakes so he can't forecast.

“Earthquakes are nature’s E-Ticket ride.”

No doubt.

I was 9 miles from epicenter of the 6.9 that hit Olympia in the early 2000s.

That was a ride.

Yes. I listened to that, earlier!

He was accurate...as he had included DE in his original prediction.
