Trump, next to empty chairs, tears into Dems for skipping meeting

President Trump tore into Democratic leaders on Tuesday for skipping a legislative strategy session at the White House.
Trump said he is “not surprised” that Senate Minority Leader Charles Schumer (D-N.Y.) and House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) decided not to attend, accusing them of being “all talk” and “no action.”
“Now it’s even worse. Now it’s not even talk. Now they’re not even showing up to the meeting,” Trump said.
The president spoke at the White House, flanked by two empty chairs with placards for Schumer and Pelosi.
Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.) and Speaker Paul Ryan (R-Wis.) sat at opposite ends of a long table inside the Roosevelt Room.
Ryan said it was “very regrettable” his Democratic counterparts decided not to attend the meeting.
McConnell said he could not recall turning down an opportunity to meet with a president at the White House, though he and other GOP leaders caught flak for declining such an invitation from former President Barack Obama in 2010.
Trump spoke after setting off a new round of partisan squabbling ahead of a planned meeting with congressional leaders to discuss a plan to avert a government shutdown.
The president tweeted Tuesday morning that he did not “see a deal” with Democrats on a spending bill. That caused Schumer and Pelosi to abruptly pull out of the meeting.
"Given that the president doesn’t see a deal between Democrats and the White House, we believe the best path forward is to continue negotiating with our Republican counterparts in Congress instead," the two leaders in a joint statement.
The president said he would blame Schumer and Pelosi if the government shuts down.

Chuckie and Pelosie Galore, will now own the upcoming government shutdown of non essential federal agencies.
With them, shutting down the government, they are handing the keys of the nonessential Federal agencies to the man who is draining the DC Swamp.
Then, President Trump, after the Chuckie and Pelosie shutdown the non essential agencies, can tell the American people a few weeks later, “It has been proved by the wonderful and successful shutdown, we don’t need those agencies. “
Therefore, “I am closing all of the so called non essential federal governmental agencies down permanently!”
“Merry Christmas and Happy New Year,to hard working Americans across our great country! MAGA!”
Trump’s a genius. If there’s no borrowing then they have to cut government to live on current receipts only.
He is starting out negotiations at the bottom and see what they would have countered with.
President Trump is right...no matter what, they should be there...and McCain should take notice.

The demonrats are going to learn the hard way that Trump is not Gingrich/Dole in ‘95.
This guy will make the blame stick to them.
They played right into his hands.
He’s brilliant beyond the average politician’s ability to understand and he will checkmate them in just a few surgical moves.
What was REALLY fun was when Schumer and Pelosi then went to McConnell and Ryan for a meeting this afternoon to negotiate, they were told: There WAS a meeting; you weren’t there. No.
“He is starting out negotiations at the bottom and see what they would have countered with.”
The demonrats accustomed starting position is, “We get everything we want and you get nothing.”
The Stupid Party’s accustomed starting position is, “Yes sir, yes sir. Do you want me to bend over, or are we just going to play squat tag in the dildo patch?”
Trump must be something very new to them.

Even if they showed up the chairs would still be empty.
