STOCKTON Authorities say an inmate with a skull tattooed on his face has escaped from a work crew in Central California.
The San Joaquin County Sheriff's Office says 27-year-old Corey Hughes was discovered missing from his work crew near Interstate 5 in Stockton on Monday afternoon.
Hughes was serving time on a weapons charge and is due to be released in February.
The sheriff's office released a photo of Hughes, who has blonde hair and a tattoo on his face that resembles a skull and appears to be homemade.
Escaping only 3 months before he would get out anyway is just the latest in a series of really good decisions, apparently.
He will be hard to identify, He has one of those faces the you see all the time...
Yep. A tat like that makes you unemployable except for the lowest sectors, lowest jobs. ............................. He coulda been somebody, even with the tattoo. He could write novels, or columns for the news media. He could be a carpenter, truck driver, plumber, electrician, or a tile layer and make good money, you don’t need a degree to make money. Who knows what talent he might possess. He could be the next rap artist. One of my relatives went to jail and learned safe cracking while there. See lots of opportunities even in the jail education system.
I was expecting ‘Opie Taylor’ for his name.
Looks like he plucked his eyebrows off also.
If that is the case I expect he received a “death sentence” if he remained there, off the record of course.
I hear MS-13 is hiring. Looking for some good heart surgeons.
“He should tattoo the letter L on his forehead.”
Unnecessary: would be completely redundant ...
Oh, could be.
I once worked around a guy that was a union insulator (pipe lagger) who had several tattoos such as “born to lose” and “loser” on his arms. This guy would show up every couple of weeks looking like he had the living crap beat out of him. So all these pieces seemed to fit the puzzle.
After looking at his picture, maybe he didn’t really escape. I think he more likely got on the wrong bus, or forgot which way to go and got lost, or maybe he accepted a ride from a stranger, or his cap blew off and he’s still chasing it.
I believe some former jailbird in Australia was complaining about not being able to find a job with his full face tattoo. He was then offered forty different jobs, and he turned them all down. “I don’t want to do that kind of work!”
He doesn’t look scary, he just looks stoopit.
No, he did everyone a favor by ID'ing this moron for all to see. Makes them easy to spot. Morons love tattoos. It's a win win for all.
Anyone doing that to their face is a scary individual. Trust me here.
That’ll buff right out
And according to the article, the suspect is the “artist”.
That’s not “Home made”. He paid good money for that...for some strange reason.
If all that face ink came while in prison I wonder was he given the choice of being a facial canvas for the gang "artist" or be subject to ongoing reprisal.
If he willingly got that ink on the outside then he is a complete moron.
... WAS due to be released. The guy couldn't wait three months and now he will be easily picked up because of his stupid tattoo.
