Pres. George W. Bush hosted the Code Talkers in 2001, before 9/11. It was a respectful, tasteful and dignified affair which truly honored the sacrifices made by the Code Talkers of the Navajo Nation. I found it on youtube and watched it several times, almost in tears of pride at the grace and dignity of the whole presentation. But here’s the thing: no one remembers it. Everyone will remember Pres. Trump’s hosting the Code Talkers. Is that a good thing or a bad thing? I like Pres. Trump, so I think it’s a good thing.
