President Trump famously promised that, if elected president, he would “drain the swamp” — upending the culture in Washington that favors the well-connected.
It is special counsel Robert S. Mueller III whose work seems to be sending shock waves through the capital, by exposing the lucrative work lobbyists from both parties engage in on behalf of foreign interests.
The Mueller probe has already claimed its first K Street casualty: Tony Podesta. His lobbying firm, the Podesta Group, a Washington icon of power and political influence, notified its employees recently that the enterprise is shutting its doors.
Since Mueller was appointed, more people and firms have either filed or amended registrations that make public their work on behalf of foreign interests than had done so over the same time period in each of at least the past 20 years. Lobbyists, lawyers and public relations professionals who work for foreign companies and governments say Mueller’s probe has spooked K Street, and firms are likely to be more careful in their compliance with public disclosure standards.
“My colleagues are being contacted by waves of clients concerned about this,” said Joe Sandler, an ethics and lobbying lawyer in Washington who specializes in Foreign Agents Registration Act issues.

But other sources say this is tracking the Art of War (Sun Tsu)in that Mueller is a double agent. There is also talk by reputable persons that yes, Mueller went along with the Clintons and Obama, but that he grew disgusted with the level of corruption and exited himself without revealing his disgruntlement.
It's safe to say that Mueller is a wildcard, we don't know which side he's on.
I do know from extensive research of Donald Trump's history that Trump is a student of war, that he admires and studies the great military leaders of America history and of other histories, that he has a keen eye for American military service members who display the qualities that have been expressed by great military Americans. I would then give credence to the idea that Donald Trump has outfoxed the persons who have moved forth a 'Russian Collusion' explanation of why Trump was elected. It's also possible that the President is simply fortunate that there is no credible evidence and that Mueller sees the deceit of the Clinton camp and is reacting against it.
Regardless of what we might believe, this article is written by the Washington Post which is occupied by liars and leftists who will use any rumor, any hint real or imagined to berate and mock Donald Trump. It should be read and reviewed for what it means.

If Mueller indicts Podesta, I might think he was something other than a Clinton “fixer”.
It appears fairly obvious that Mueller is after Trump and his family, based on Trump’s own comments on Twitter and in live interviews.
Which is backed up by the fact that Mueller has only indicted Trump team members, and is focusing his investigation on more of them now, with speculation his family is next.
The Podesta story is now relatively ancient in this context. WP is only driagging it back out to try to give Mueller some much needed credibility with regard to his otherwise obvious bias, and put some more wind behind the dying deep state-concocted fairytale that Trump and Mueller are secret pals.

No honest criminal justice system leaves crooked cops in place, much less leaves the in charge of the most important investigation going on the US right now. You arrest them, and get them to spill their beans for possible leniency. Leaving them in place increases the risk they will commit more crimes, starting with trying to cover up whatever original crimes they are guilty of, both known and unknown.

I think Podesta closed doors temporarily. Muller prolly told him to do it with a wink, wink, to avoid formal consequences. Once all of this blows over, Podesta will be back at it.
There’s a convenience store in Austin on I-35 named Whip-In that’s sold Whip-its (nitrous oxide for engines and human brains via dentists) for probably 40 years now.
