Sen. Rand Paul plans to vote yes on tax bill

Sen. Rand Paul on Monday announced he plans to vote for the Senate tax plan as it currently stands, handing GOP leaders a key “yes” vote ahead of a potential floor vote later in the week.

Mr. Paul said he’d like the tax cut to be even bigger than the nearly $1.5 trillion price tag, but that he’s pleased lawmakers included a repeal of Obamacare’s individual mandate in the plan.

“I’m not getting everything I want — far from it,” the Kentucky Republican wrote in an opinion piece for Fox News. “But I’ve been immersed in this process. I’ve fought for and received major changes for the better — and I plan to vote for this bill as it stands right now.”

Raise you hand if you think this will pass in the senate. I doubt it.

Plenty of blue state R’s.

$1.6 billion was included on the Budget Bill.

This addresses the new tax structure.

Politicians have their jobs and we have ours.

Both jobs are the same, enriching ourselves.

I figured that out at the age of 30, after being asleep for a decade of adult life. When the government acts, I observe and react as needed. Started reacting at 30, retired at 60, and still taking advantage of whatever govt does at 68 as now my investments do the work I used to do.

Take what they give you. They give plenty.

This is a signal for McCain and his merry band of rinos to vote no.

Yes, here's another chance for McCain to be a newsy spoiler.

He seems all for settling a score with Trump, even if it means pottying on our fine Country.

(And, I would absolutely LOVE to be wrong about McCain, this time.)

This will pass. Look at the stock market.... if this doesn’t pass the market will give back most of the value created since Trump was elected. Republican donors will not allow that to happen.

Somehow, I can’t imagine the media and the senate swooning over the “courage” it took to travel to Washington and vote “yes” for this as much as they swooned over Judas McCain for voting to keep ObamaCare.
