“Pending adjustment” equals “cutoff”. My Turkish Spin Sensor just went to 100%.

if this is true, then Trump picked the wrong side.

Erdogan is an Islamist. What can he offer in return? The only thing I can think of is a promise not to send more “immigrants” into Europe. And we all know what that promise is worth.

On the other hand, the Kurds have a history of protecting Christians. Other than Israel, the Kurds are the only good guys in the region. Why are we abandoning them?

I sure as hell hope this is not the case. Nothing good comes from trying to please that islamist a**hole Erdogan.

The Kurds are the good guys in that morass over there. Bush/Clinton/Bush/Obama all screwed them over. Trump should not continue our shameful and embarrassing legacy towards them. Screw Erdogan.

It`s just for PR.
Probably Trump will sell the arms to the Israelis, Saudis, Germans, Danes, Brits, French & Jordanians who will deliver same to the Kurds coz the Germans, French, Brits, & Danes are already there on the ground with the Kurds anyway.

Big mistake. The Kurds are our allies; the Turks (Islamists) hate us.

If true, President Trump has made the same mistake as HW Bush, , BJ Clinton, GW Bush and the Magic Negro.

The Kurds would have set up a nation and the USA could have had a HUGE, must needed base there right in the middle of everything.

“”and that this nonsense should have ended a long time ago””

Are people really that stupid? I’m so tired of asking that question.. It took YEARS for this country to even start to help the Kurds and then it was with old equipment. NOW we give in to that turkey in Turkey? Obscene!!

The civil was is over, pumping rounds into a separatist populist is just going to start it up again. Guess THE Kurds will have to try politics.

Would you cheer Putin shipping in arms for Antifa or Muslim immigrants?

You can’t just arm other countries population segments cause you want to vote death to the other guy like some international revolutian voting scheme. That is rather Communist

Lemmee splain.

The Kurds are not a monolithic group. Syrian Kurds do not take their lead from Iraqi Kurds. They are very different politically.

They don’t shoot at each other ..... yet, but not far from it.

Many Syrian Kurds are marxists, Islamic marxists. Sounds odd, but the ones with guns, primarily, are sort of a baathist, fascist, one-party rule and less tribally or family driven.

That’s the PKK, a Kurdish nationalist socialist party that is absolutely at war with the Turks and have been shooting at them for over 30 years. More than 40,000 Kurds have died, mainly in Turkey.

Although the Russians are aligned with the Assad regime, if we pull away, the Russians will arm them secretly.

The real war to come will be in Turkey and northern Syria next and it will be very bloody.

The United States will cut off its supply of arms to Kurdish fighters in Syria...

Even if true and not exaggerated, I would be surprised if the various Kurdish groups (not all of which are all that great) are running out of weapons to the extent that they need more US weapons after all these years of war and extended support. Is this more symbolic than substantive?
