It's interesting ... this is the second or 3rd time I've heard the dems defending things because they are 'icons' ... not on merit or facts or anything.

The climate priest yesterday talked about Time mag as an icon (Koch brothers buying it would of course destroy the icon.)

So I guess if something is an icon, regardless of what it's actually made of or does, it must not be messed with. This is not all that surprising since the dem leadership is 4000 years old.

Seriously, is their a central HR apparatus/dept for all congressional staff? If not, why not? Do you think for one minute if it was run like a like dept in Corp.
