Tillerson may be one of those, “If you have nothing worth hearing to say, don’t bother saying it”....type folks.

“When Tillerson was running Exxon didn’t he have executive vice presidents and vice presidents? Didn’t he have a Chief Operating Officer and Chief Financial Officer? Or did he run the whole corporation out of his hat? Any chief executive needs assistants who are experts in their given area to advise him on what needs to be done and handle things that don’t necessarily need his attention. That’s what Assistant Secretaries do.”

I think you are missing the point. All of the people at the DOS are RATs, just like every other large Federal Department. This is what the term Deep State is all about. The people at the very top come and go with each change in Presidency, but one level down, they are fleshed out with “career service RATs.” So for probably ever, but surely the past 50 years, the Secretaries have changed when new presidents were sworn in, but the people who actually ran the departments went on their merry way doing what the RATs wanted done, unhindered by their new leaders. And the State Department has been probably the worst of all. So you may not like Tillerson for one reason or another, but cleaning house should not be one of them. Like Pruitt over at the EPA, it appears that Tillerson is actually being effective at RIFing a bunch of RAT $hit from his ranks and he should be applauded for doing so. I only wished that that worthless little F*cker Sessions was doing the same thing, but my bet is he has trouble taking his morning $hit and tying his shoes.

I can understand the need to streamline the State department but why are these all unimportant positions given what's going on there?

Ok, I have heard one story on the nominated Ambassadors, 8 is what I heard. Senator Corker is in charge, he is chairman of the Foreing Relations committee and getting Trumps Ambassador nominations through. He is holding them up, Richard Grenier was nominated months ago, to be Germanys Ambassador? not exactly sure which countries.

gov shrinking and goldman sachs says unemployment will be at it’s lowest by 2019 since 1969 - 3.5%

That means all these people can go get real jobs.

Sounds good to me. To them? Having to actually work? probably not sounding as good

The Soviets infiltrated State Department in the 50’s and 60’s. Were they ever expunged??

Probably not by Bush or Obama. Obama added Muslim Brotherhood state department workers. Maybe that is who is being flushed out?

CHICAGO TRIBUNE SAYS Bill and Hillary Clinton should be investigated (Chicago Tribune)

Hillary's State Dept was a bloated bureaucracy. Hillary (and Obama) monetized it bigtime ......zillions of our tax dollars were used as a shakedown tactic to extort Clinton Foundation donations from foreign aid recipients.

ITEM---This should be high on the list of Clinton investigations: An obscure Baptist Church in dirt-poor Cameroon, Sub-Saharan Africa, gave the Clinton Foundation....wait for it....TEN MILLION DOLLARS. NOTE: Cameroon is the recipient of hundreds of millions of foreign aid grants from the State Dept....for every social ill imaginable.

Is this the classic Clinton Foundation laundry?

<><> then-secy Hillary doles out State Dept foreign aid (our tax dollars) to the Cameroon govt,

<><> the Cameroon govt then launders the foreign aid into the Baptist church,

<><> the church takes a cut then donates the rest to the Clinton Foundation.

==================================

Remember that Secy Clinton's top aide, Cheryl Mills, a US govt employee, inexplicably found time to operate the BlackIvy Group, a development company focused on Sub-Saharan Africa AT THE SAME TIME she was pocketing a US govt paycheck.

=======================================

AND THIS---Obama routinely gave away foreign aid-----huge amounts of our tax dollars with no Congressional oversight at all.

=====================================

Can you say kickback?

Obama pledges $7 billion to upgrade power in Africa Obama pledged $7 billion Sunday to help combat frequent power blackouts in sub-Saharan Africa. Funds from the initiative, dubbed Power Africa, will be distributed over the next five years. Obama made the announcement during his trip to South Africa, the continent's biggest economy.

"Access to electricity is fundamental to opportunity in this age. It's the light that children study by, the energy that allows an idea to be transformed into a real business. It's the lifeline for families to meet their most basic needs, and it's the connection that's needed to plug Africa into the grid of the global economy," he said.

Two-thirds of the population of sub-Saharan Africa lacks access to electricity, including more than 85% of those living in rural areas, the White House said. "A light where currently there is darkness -- the energy to lift people out of poverty -- that's what opportunity looks like," Obama told students at Cape Town University.

"So this is America's vision: a partnership with Africa for growth, and the potential for every citizen, not just a few at the top."

PHOTO OPS SHOW Obama kicking around an energy-generating soccer ball at a power plant in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania, on Tuesday, July 2.

Obama was pushing for partnerships in energy as he concluded a three-nation trip to Africa. Tanzanian President Jakaya Kikwete, third from right, joined Obama at the Symbion Power Plant at Ubungo.

Obamas invoke Mandela's legacy: The program includes $1.5 billion from the U.S. Overseas Private Investment Corporation and $5 billion from the Export-Import Bank, the White House said. Sub-Saharan Africa will need more than $300 billion to achieve universal electricity access by 2030, it said.

The preliminary setup will include Ethiopia, Kenya, Liberia, Nigeria, Tanzania, Uganda and Mozambique.

Smells like winning to me.>>>>>>>>>>>>>

Yep! And the same needs to happen to the IRS, The FBI, and the DOJ , for starters. We do not need any treasonous,Alinsky Strategeryist, liberal fascist workers, working anywhere in the federal government. They refused to follow laws they did not “like” and leaked to the treasonous MSM whenever they felt like farting sideways. Those days are over.

That means all these people can go get real jobs.

They can ask "You want fries with that?" in seven different languages.

Home Depot could add new entries on their "We Speak Your Language" boards, but these twits probably couldn't be employed there if they've never had to pick up a tool.

DISTURBING USES OF HILLARY/OBAMA/ERA STATE DEPARTMENT SLUSH FUNDS The Morocco foreign aid quid pro quo. US taxpayers are extorted millions to pave the way. Then greedy pols line up to get a piece of the action.

============================================

In 2008, the US State Dept's Millennium Challenge Corporation (MCC) commenced a five-year, $697.5 million compact with the Kingdom of Morocco to reduce poverty and stimulate economic growth.

The State Dept's MCC compact invests in expansion of fruit tree agriculture (including olives, nuts, and dates), support for small-scale fisheries and fish-markets, enhancement of the artisanal sector in the city of Fes, and training for small-scale businesses across all these sectors .........with an emphasis on training for women and youth including literacy training.

======================================

WIKILEAKS--Hillary Was Paid Off By The King Of Morocco: Bill Clinton got paid speeches, Clinton Foundation donations, and, in return, then-Secy Hillary would give US support from the State Dept. Despite Morocco's human rights abuses, Hillary was viewed as being “among Morocco's most ardent supporters within the Obama administration.”

WIKILEAKS EMAIL DROP---"This was HRC’s idea, our office approached the Moroccans and they 100 percent believe they are doing this at her request. The King has personally committed approx. $12 million both for the endowment and to support the meeting.”

Abedin said Clinton’s attendance at HACK the CGI event was a condition of the $12 million contribution. “Just to give you some context, the condition upon which the Moroccans agreed to host the meeting was her participation. If HRC was not part if it, meeting was a non-starter,” Abedin said.

2012---Former Secy of State Hillary Clinton shakes hands with Morocco's
Foreign Minister Saad Eddine Othmani in Rabat Feb 26, 2012.

2015--Former US president Bill Clinton, on a private visit to Morocco, was received in the Rabat royal palace by HM King Mohammed VI.

ABC News reported in may 6, 2015 that ex-president Bill Clinton and the Clinton Foundation’s Global Initiative were being hosted at a five-star luxury hotel in Morocco by one of the world's most controversial mining companies, criticized for "serious human rights violations" by the Robert F. Kennedy Center for Justice.

The Moroccan government-owned mining company OCP operates in disputed international territory in a remote part of the Saharan Desert and the firm has been criticized for removing the resources without adequately compensating the impoverished people who live there.“

Any time the human rights of a population are systematically suppressed in this type of way it's a serious concern, and I think it's worthy of attention,” said David McKean, who has studied the issue for the RFK center.

OCP mining paid $1 million to help host the event and throw a private cocktail reception, to the dismay of human rights activists.

2016 UPDATE Pres O gave Mrs O $100 million tax dollars from the State Dept's Millennium Challenge Corporation on her visit to Morocco for "teaching Muslim girls"...... to be administered by the post-presidency tax-exempt Obama Foundation.

Michele, her daughters and her mother in Morocco's palace.

===========================================

(hat tip LORIANNE) The Millennium Challenge Corporation (MCC) is a bilateral US foreign aid agency established by the US Congress in 2004, applying a new philosophy toward foreign aid. It is an independent agency separate from the State Department and USAID.

The MCC Board is made up of representatives. These include the MCC's CEO, the U.S. Secretary of State who is the chair, the Secretary of Treasury who is the vice chair, the administrator of USAID, the U.S. Trade Representative and other private-sector or development-related officials.

Mr. Tillerson has frozen most hiring and recently offered a $25,000 buyout in hopes of pushing nearly 2,000 career diplomats and civil servants to leave by October 2018.

R. Nicholas Burns, a retired career diplomat who was an under secretary of state for President George W. Bush. “It shows a disdain for diplomacy.”

Feel free to raise my taxes to up the buyout offers - drain the friggin' swamp. If these sinecure holders had anything going for them Benghazi wouldn't have to live in history as the 'mother of all foreign policy failures/lies'...

Fire 'em all and replace them with a machine that says, "We can offer more" and "You can have it your way"...

I remember that Morocco trip. The Moocher and her royal retinue dropped $600,000 on a single night's luxury hotel accommodations. Don't all diplomatic trips include spa visits?
