Buncha p*ssies. Even when I was on the varsity team, I still didnt have a full scholarship so I worked part time jobs—yes, ever hear of part=time jobs you lazy snowflakes.

My jobs during college were: driver for an escort service, dj for a strip club, bouncer for a strip club, waiter, bartender etc.

I hear you.
My oldest is in the Marine reserves, goes to work full 35 hours a week, and goes to school full time.

Bunch of little, snotty piss ants who think they are owed something because they were born.

I agree-these fragile little wusses have no concept or self reliance-never mind that they are not in any way resourceful if they lack basic survival skills like how to obtain their own food instead of depending on others foe handouts...

In my college days, only those students from super affluent families didn’t work-the rest of us slaved away either full or part time-mostly in low-skilled jobs. I did the cocktail waitress thing because the tips were the best, even if the hours were long and the pace hectic at the bar-and-supper club where I worked, I loved leaving at 2AM with as much as $150.00 in my hot little hands.

After school and rent were paid there was still money for ramen noodles, hamburger helper and some ground beef, hot dogs, a few cans of tuna-or if you didn’t want to cook, the burger joint with the $.99 burger and fries-or First Mate fish place with the $1.99 menu-choice of 2 fish fillets, 6 oysters or 6 shrimp-all fried and with a side of hush puppies and cole slaw. I can’t imagine anyone I knew begging for food from someone-as a last resort, you could always get an invite to a relative’s, or a friend’s parents’ place at least every week or two...

Sophomore year was the most difficult,” he said. “I was out of the dorms and didn’t have a meal plan anymore. It was just rough.”

Cry me a river. I attended a state school, lived in the dorm and was on the M-F meal plan. On Saturday, I ate a can of spaghetti-os. On Sunday, I walked (no car) to the chicken place for a snack pack of one thigh, fries and roll and got a drink out of the coke machine. I took 21/hrs each semester so was able to graduate in 3 years so my parents didn't have to fork over a 4th year of tuition. A little scholarship covered books if I shopped very carefully and bought used books. There was usually one text I had to check out of the library so made good use of it when I was able to get it. And worked part time for spending money and still had plenty of time for band and stage band, other school activities and hanging out. I thought I was doing great.

I used my old GI Bill and had a job. Except for a couple of “silver spoon babies” everybody in my AFROTC detachment had a job. One of my best friends there delivered pizzas in a beat up Volare station wagon that had a clutch mechanism break. He fashioned a rope that led to the clutch lever on the tranny to shift.

We all made do and made it without food stamps and free stuff from the Government.
