Fighting Gay Rights and Abortion With the First Amendment
New York Times ^ | November 22, 2017 | JEREMY W. PETERS

WASHINGTON — The details were spare when the event appeared this summer on Attorney General Jeff Sessions’s public schedule. He would speak on religious liberty to a group called Alliance Defending Freedom. No exact location was specified. No news media would be allowed in.

Only after an outcry over such secrecy — and the anti-gay rights positions of its sponsor — did a transcript of Mr. Sessions’s remarks emerge on a conservative website. “Many Americans have felt that their freedom to practice their faith has been under attack,” he told the gathering in Orange County, Calif. “The challenges our nation faces today concerning our historic First Amendment right to the ‘free exercise’ of our faith have become acute.”

Mr. Sessions’s focus was not an accident. The First Amendment has become the most powerful weapon of social conservatives fighting to limit the separation of church and state and to roll back laws on same-sex marriage and abortion rights.

Few groups have done more to advance this body of legal thinking than the Alliance Defending Freedom, which has more than 3,000 lawyers working on behalf of its causes around the world and brings in $51.5 million in revenue for the 2015-16 tax year, more than the American Civil Liberties Union.

Among the alliance’s successes has been bringing cases involving relatively minor disputes to the Supreme Court — a law limiting the size of church signs, a church seeking funding for a playground — and winning rulings that establish major constitutional precedents.

But it hopes to carve out an even wider sphere of protected religious expression this term when the justices are to hear two more of its cases, one a challenge to a California law that requires “crisis pregnancy centers,” which are run by abortion opponents

And yet still not one transcript from any of Hildabeast’s talks to all those bankers where she received hundreds of thousands of dollars. Not one, not even one? So the NY Slime is not interested in Hildabeast’s talks? /s

I take it Jeremy Peters likes peckers?

There’s no such thing as fag rights or a ‘right’ to an abortion.

Exactly. Ask a liberal if a fashion designer should be forced by law to design a dress for Mrs. Trump and let the fun begin.

It is unconstitutional for them to force you to glorify satanism or any other irrational demonic religion. Sodomy is a rite of Ba’al worship and Moloch worship and pagan worship where orgies with little boys on altars are a rite along with baby killing (sacrifice). Both are rites of demonic religions which are unconstitutional in OUR “justice” (virtue) System.

A Just Law can NEVER promote vice and unnatural evil, degrading behaviors like baby-killing or sodomy. As Justice Marshall stated, unjust law is “null and void” and we have a duty to disobey it. Only Christian Ethics which are aligned with Natural Law theory are used in a true (ours) justice system and it is all unconstitutional. Many judges need to be in prison for treason—for throwing our our Constitution.

We have allowed the word “justice” to be destroyed and mean “Vice” as we allowed evil treasonous judges to deem “marriage” irrational—and make it meaningless-—which is also Marxism and unconstitutional and demonic.

We need our Justice System BACK and our Language restored and rational again-—where all just laws promote “public virtue” as the Founders stated all Just (virtuous) laws do!!! As Cicero stated, when just laws promote vice, it is a matter of time before the whole culture will collapse. Vice breeds only vice. Also, Machiavelli stated the easiest way to destroy a military is promote vice in it....because power tends to corrupt anyhow. “ It is essential to only promote Virtue in the military”. Machiavelli

Just Law is based on Right Reason according to Natural Law. Sodomizing others is irrational and unnatural and a vice. It should still be a felony like it was for hundreds of years. By normalizing the rites of Ba’al worship and forcing it into a “Just” law (which removes Reason and Logic from law), it forces satanism, a religion, and irrationality on children.

BTW, promoting theft is also unconstitutional which is what the Marxist “welfare” system does. That is punishing virtue and rewarding vice and can’t be in a true Justice system. We have a MAJOR Vice System now.

The First Amendment has become the most powerful weapon of social conservatives fighting to limit the separation of church and state....

And yet we have been told that "separation of church and state" was established by the First Amendment.

The truth being there is an equivocation here. The term "wall of separation between church and state" did refer to what the First Amendment confirmed in a letter by Thomas Jefferson to a church that was afraid of the Federal government regulating the religious liberties of people in the various states. The Leftwing re-interpreted the words to mean that religious ideas should have no impact on the government at any level. They then actually repeated the idea that this foreign idea was what was established by the First Amendment, and maintained this idea for many years. And now this false idea is undercut by the actual First Amendment.
