As far as you're concerned, everyone should be eating in front of the television!
While other football fans are thrilled to see you show up, everyone else wishes you had something else to talk about.
Try to make a little small talk with the family. (You can do it during commercial breaks!)

Even though your family's food is not your style, try to fill your plate and clean it. No one wants cooking advice on Thanksgiving.
If not, be prepared to lie and say "I already had some!" every time you're asked about the food.

Good idea going to the cafeteria to eat. We’d probably do the same if we had one around here.
How was your day? Has the cold front gone through? It’s coming through TN tonight they say.

Howdy! Since hubby doesn’t like turkey and I don’t want to cook, it’s the best choice. I can proudly say that I’ve never cooked a turkey. Once I did a rolled turkey breast, but it was when we were first married and poor service people. LOL!
It was windy all day and is 47 right now, but it’s not as cold as I really expected it to be.
Did you have a good day? Churchill get a good report? Or did he not have to go? Can’t remember.
And I should have been the awkward one. We should trade. LOL
My hubby doesn’t like turkey either. Sometimes I go to the Honey Baked Ham store to get a ham and others, like this year, I do a cola roast. I don’t mind cooking but with just the two of us I don’t go overboard with it.
It’s supposed to be windy here tomorrow with highs in the 40s. Not going to be a pleasant day. I got all the shopping done tonight, since I refuse to shop the day before Thanksgiving, so no need to get out tomorrow. Well, I take that back. I’ll go see if Aunt Clara’s awake and visit if she is.
Churchill went and the vet gave him a shot. It should help clear his head up enough he’ll eat well again. They won’t eat if they can’t smell. He did eat when I got up and ate a good supper this evening.
While I was there, I made an appointment for next week to get two of the lil girlies spayed. We’ll take care of the other two the following week.
How’s Dulcie today? Everything beginning to smooth out with the routine?
