HP once made the best test equipment on the planet—bar none. Between HP and Tektronix they owned the labs. And it all was "Made in USA" too. It's hard to imagine the space program or our military prowess without them.

Hewlett-Packard was founded by engineers, and trashed by clueless business wonks like Meg Whitman.

Seriously. I was hoping we would get this back under real leadership.

Maybe we will - We just need to completely the old and usher in new people. There is no saving the US car industry, electronics or much else. We need to let them all go and start over again.

It’s also why I never had a bit of use for Carly Fiorina now matter how hard the GOP and/or conservative media pushed her.

These CEOs and their top brass suck the juice out of corporations. Whitman's performance at the helm of HP/HPE has been awful.

I still have a couple programmable scientific HP calculators from the early 1970s. Superbly built, gold traces inside on the electronics, indestructible gadgets. They still work to this day, including the built-in printers.

Maybe someday they’ll have a CEO who knows that V=IR

Until then, more art history majors!

Followed by bankruptcy

Some would have thought to have looked at late 70’s GM for a clue. Just think, that major screw-up brought us Michael Moore.

Carly Fiorina was Meg Whitman squared. She RUINED HP before Meg had her chance to follow through.

Love my 41CX

Nothing is even close in quality.

Her and Carly - morons

They need to go back to ‘The HP Way’. Period. How would the founders have done it, and leave it at that.

Political correctness has ruined HP....ergo, Fiorina/Whitman.

I have no problem with a competent woman at the head of a corporation or government......it’s just that there aren’t many Margaret Thatchers around these days.

That's too bad, because it would be great to read an insider's view of what happened.
