Rush is such a phony.

The persona Rush has always had is fake. The Rush Limbaugh he plays on the air WOULD NEVER HAVE EATEN A MINT WAFER with Chuck U Schumer. He sure as hell wouldn’t have been seduced into wining, dining, and doing Chuck’s bidding. The day he defended himself about changing his content to please Schumer was the day it became clear to me.

Rush was very energetically defending himself that day. He lied, dissembled, and, worst of all, he was ANGRY at us. He read our comments online / to him during the first commercial break, and came back on air and called those of us not believing his BS excuse for dining with Chuck Schumer, HATERS. We made him successful beyond his wildest dreams. We defended him, protected him, and made him very wealthy. But yeah, we are haters for not wanting him to change his tune on air to help the Cabal in DC. (He was asked to stop using the word “amnesty” for the amnesty bill they were trying to ram through over us, and the NYT provided the proof that Rush did so after that dinner)

Broke my heart and I stopped believing in him that very day.

Hey, Cruz became an American at 16. Obama was in his 40s. ;) (Those Cruz’s citizenship is real, Obama’s is only ceremonial)

Rush flipped solidly to Trump about a week before the election. Levin never did. And Levin was the only major “conservative” radio figure I ever heard repeatedly attack Trump supporters. Just bizarre behavior on his part.

And let's not forget Rush's dinner in New York City with the Gang of Eight which included such Conservative stalwarts as: Marco Rubio, Lindsay Graham and - wait for it - Chuck Shumer.

The dinner was to get Rush to omit criticism of the Immigration Amnesty bill the Gang of Eight was attempting to push through Congress.

Let me ask you: Would you go to such a dinner?

The fact that Rush went exposes his deep GOPe roots and what a phony he is.

How much did he lay off criticizing the Amnesty bill? We will never know?

What other topics important to Conservatives did he lay off in the past?

Again, we will never know.

I’d describe him as anti-establishment. He’ll call things as he sees them, for or against anyone, while always a defender of the Constitution and against tyranny.

Wes, this guy is the BEST, IMO. Actually, were it not for brave intellectuals such as Levin, Trump never could have won.

Guess his audience helped him come around or he may have lost them if he had not.

Broke my heart and I stopped believing in him (Rush) that very day.

Me too! I haven't listened to him since.

One thing I have to hand him though is ability as a "snake oil" salesman for fooling so many people (including myself) for so many years to his financial benefit.

So what? Cruz and Trump are very much alike on issues. I believe that Cruz would have fired members of the Swamp in every department immediately, b/c he knows all these fiends, and his cabinet would not contain liberal Democrats.
But overall, Trump has done very well, much better than I had dared to hope.
Levin will be awesome, as always.

He announced well in advance of the election that he was supporting Trump

Even after he decided to endorse Trump he continually ragged on him. He lost me as a listener, he did finally get on board but I didn’t re-up with him.

Same as on Cruz.

I’m still a little butthurt over his pre-election anti-Trump stuff,
and still chuckling over his calling me a RINO.

I know. I do have to give him credit for exposing me to a lot of conservatism when I first moved here returning from Europe. I will never not give Rush that credit he deserves.

And I was flattered each time he used my original words from posts here, as his own. Now, 20/20 hindsight, I realize it was part of his dishonest personality, stealing jokes and passing himself off as that funny. But each time I heard my own weirdness coming from his mouth it made me happy. I thought the world of him.

I can forgive a lot but dishonesty doesn’t cut it with me. I prefer listening to real people who are strong in their core, honest, and can live with their faults because they know everyone has flaws.

I used to like Levin until he attacked Freepers for supporting Trump when he was running for president. He’s smart guy, but why should I support him when he didn’t support us and, in fact, attacked us?

I still like the occasional FOX and Friends, but mainly watch FOX Business Channel, if anything. We don’t get OAN, unfortunately.

I only watch Lou Dobbs anymore.

Interesting thought. Contrast “arrogant” with “confident.”

It seems to be that the truly arrogant (Levin, Obama, Rush, etc) are deeply insecure. The truly confident (Hannity, Trump, etc) are very secure in their egos. They know what they are capable of and believe in themselves. They won’t be bent by others because they have a strong core and will stay the course.

The insecure people who act like they are better than others ARE THE ONES WHO WILL KISS BUTT because they need adoration and approval. That sums up arrogance and why it is proof of dangerous insecurity. As bossy as they seem to be, these people are dangerous to put into positions of power.
