It doesn't bother me in the least if "the rich" get a tax cut and never has.
It's a game. The Dems don't hate the rich, and as a matter of fact they love them. The rich love them back as most rich people vote Dem.
It is Kabuki Theater where the Dems trash their favorite people to cover for everything they give them, as in a huge hunk of our tax money, and in return the Dems get money under the table and invited to all the great parties.
They don’t hate the rich. Most of the Rats in politics get very rich themselves. Their attacking of the rich is just part of their political strategy of stirring the pot of resentment so that the “poor” will keep voting for the Rats to protect them from the rich. For similar reasons, they like to stir up racial tension.
I suspect that they believe in the Communist Manifesto maxim: "The bourgeoisie must be swept away and made impossible."
It’s very simple, Democrats love Rich Socialists but they hate Rich Capitalists.
They have turned half this Country into envious Morons who Vote for Democrats because they will stick it to their fellow Citizens who are successful in Life.
I find it amusing that Hatch and Brown are having this pissing match in a room packed full of Millionaires.
They are all in it together with few exceptions. They are interested in a complicated tax system that allows them the chance to ‘do favors’ for select people and industries who employ their friends and neighbors in the swamp.
If there was a lower tax rate and a more understandable tax system, why do we need all these lobbyists. No more lobbyists, no more ‘favors’ like fact finding trips, donations to their PACs and hiring the Senator's and Congressman's addle brained son-in-law for a six figure no show no work job. No need to lobby, what on Earth will they do once they decide to hang up the ‘Public Service’ racket? They almost all become million $ lobbyists after they leave.
It is all about them and their access to money and power through the never ending growth of the government. All provided by an archaic, archane, abusive and bewildering tax code.
It’s Marxist rhetoric specifically designed to create envy, resentment and hate in the hearts of the uneducated so they will vote for Democrats. Then, behind their backs, the Democrats themselves create the loopholes they use to shelter their wealth from the taxes they pretend to increase to “punish the rich”. It’s worked for more than 100 years.
They don’t hate the rich. They want to play on the jealousy of those who aren’t and make them hate the rich for votes.
