The liberal education establishment has only themselves to blame when they stopped expecting students to behave like adults. In loco parentis has a whole nuther meaning now. One of my kids worked for awhile in a career counseling center at a state university (which shall remain unnamed). The students were childish, petulant, demanding and entitled, and these were science and engineering students. My kid said the foreign students were even worse. The counselors were expected to remember myriad preferred pronouns and even had a student who insisted she identified as a cat. Our country is in for rocky times.
